Last of the independent team owners, from shed beginnings, to multiple driver and team world championships. A truly driven man, with huge success, and I also think was the longest survivor with his post car crash condition.
RIP Sir frank.

Frank's wife Ginny had a book published thirty years or so ago that is well worth reading - from the early days of setting up the race team, his accident in '86, and on to what he always called his 'new life'. He was back running the team within a year of his injury which is quite an achievement in itself but he also travelled to every race meeting during that season too. RIP Sir Frank.

Another loss. Thank you Frank for some amazing F1 viewing. Mansell v Senna at Monaco was incredible to watch. You'll be missed.

I also think was the longest survivor with his post car crash condition. Frank lived for a little over 35 years with a high-level spinal injury which is good going but not the longest survivor - I spoke with someone only a couple of months ago who had his injury when he was 18 and is only three years away from retirement age, so 44 years and still in fairly good health. When Ludwig Guttman founded the first Spinal Injuries Hospital at Stoke Mandeville in 1944 medical guidance at the time said that any high-level spinal injury was 'a condition that could not be treated', with a maximum life expectancy of two weeks, but these days 40+ years would be considered normal.
