Years ago when I obviously burned more calories I would have porridge and toast at about 6:30/7am before work and then we'd have tea break at 9:30am which was 99% of the time a bacon egg and tomato sandwich and something like a king size Mars Bar or a medium curd cheese cake from Mcleish Bakers. Some guys would call this breakfast so this could be my second breakfast. This would be followed by whatever I had for dinner at 12:30, plenty of snacks in the afternoon and then tea at around 6/7pm and other stuff before bed. I was a 32" waist then. I'm 36" now and 10lb heavier and eat half as much . 10lb doesn't sound too bad but it's all much further south now

Escorts = bag of shite. Only one of them worth having is the one with "Readers Wives" page..... My Dad had a MkI Escort, that's the car, not the magazine. Metallic green, 1.3L. Somehow even though it probably only had 40hp is still only did about 30mpg. CAT 69OK. Not great in anyway compared to a modern car. Funny after about 30 years I can still remember the reg but if the Mrs. tells me to pick something up from Asda I've forgot what it was before I get there. I remember overtaking him in it while I was riding my RD200. I didn't realise it was him and my Mam until I was just about alongside. He gave me loads of grief about it when I arrived home. It was probably the first of many good roastings I bet my old mans Escort looks better than some of those Reader Wives now even though it went to scrap in around 1983.

YPVS looks better than 4L0... I saw a YPVS for the first time in the flesh at Snetterton in 1983 and in an instant the LC looked old. Not so sure now though.

Mine went considerably faster but was a stickler for the rules when it came to others, he threatened to dob me in to the cops if i kept speeding. I simply used different routes after that. Out of sight, out of mind.

I've watched Time Team from episode one. He and the program have done a huge amount to popularise Archaeology and an an interest in history to this country. I think David Beckham is well overdue though. He's done so much to popularise underwhelming football performances and having tattoos to the masses.

But his cunning plans and slug balancing act must of sealed it... Beckham? No chance... he hasn't missed a critical penalty.

Kids can walk to/from school. Only if they are over 15 and live less than 1/2 a mile from school. My youngest used to cry all the way to school if my Mrs. walked with him. He wanted to go in car. It didn't work though. They rarely went in car.

Spoked wheels are rubbish and look cr@p.
I had spokes on my Fizz, my RD200, my DT125 and my 400 Four. Hated all of them. Couldn't keep them clean, the spokes rusted and would come loose and the rims rusted. The 400 back rim was so baggy it felt like it had a permanent puncture. I never had enough money or the skills to get it fixed. A set of alloys I could clean up and paint for a couple of quid. Took the rusty spoked wheels off the 200 slung them in a skip and fitted alloys off a later model. Painted the rusty spokes on the DT with silver paint just before I sold it.
Putting spoked wheels on a modern (one that would have alloys on it originally) bike makes it look different. Different is not always better it's just different.
The last bit is actually another unpopular opinion.
