Well im hoping this next one will be my last company car as all going well I'll semi retire before the lease is up If it gets that far. Company is changing terms and conditions and it ain't good for the long service guys All good will is gone now Steve Most of the guys at work are ordering Ford mustang E or the BMW 330e but only for company car tax purposes. I remember when you could do 18000 business miles to half your company car tax. 🚗

Happy days. Never seen so many company hacks driving round just so we could save some money. 'How dare you...' Yep, we dared love...

Limited choice, way too expensive and where's the infrastructure to charge them? trickle charge will take 8+ hours, super fast charge will be mega expensive. I often drive past these huge airfields full of new cars and wonder where the heck they all go to, there must be thousands of unsold cars sitting in fields/ aerodromes that won't ever get sold but they still get churned out.
As for driving them, you don't really drive these hybrids / electric cars now, you just steer them and press the accelerator and brake pedals.

Mate used to own a distribution centre, most are company cars now. You’d be surprised what jobs get either a company car or an allowance. Win win for the manufacturer’s and the businesses. When I was a kid we had one car, now most of my friends have at least two family cars and then their kids do as well. Then dealers run fleets of demos which get sold and also pre registrations backed up by manufacturers bonuses for the dealers etc.

Was a fight when we had to do the 700 mile round trip for a meeting in the office for who's car we'd take And what about the free fuel? I remember taking a Peugeot 405 estate and trailer down to collect a mates Westfield from the factory Trailer was massive with a fold up ramp on the back like an air brake 3 full tanks of diesel in one day and not an eye blinked, them were the days 😀 Steve
