I had a siezure in April which was a kick in the teeth after 2 years ago.(A type aortic dissection).Caused by gene 16 duplicated.Appareltly a siezure can happen up to 2 years after the Stroke.Anyway I can drive and ride again and bought another 2 bikes.I rode the Gpz 550 h2 last saturday and it was really good.(Never ridden a 550 before).I will get the Ypvs hybrid mot'd and a couple off lc hybids. The matching nos. LC is tax and mot exempt now too.Onwards and upwards now!

Wow, glad you're on the road to full recovery, just goes to show, we really need to appreciate more when we are well and happy, you never know what can happen at any time.
Hope you continue with good health.

So glad to hear your back on your bike. Itβs not till itβs taken away that you realise how much itβs part of your life. Had a couple of near misses with health myself but still riding ππ»

Glad you're recovering well.
There's nothing like a few hours on a bike, to enjoy and appreciate what's out there.
My cousin had a GPZ550H1 with a Loud laser pipe on it, back in the day. I did loads of trips on the back of it, great fun. Highlight was averaging 117mph flat out for 15 miles, heading to Donny for the GP.
Enjoy.

You did well to only have 6 months
Couple of years ago My wife had 3 seizures in 1 morning. They counted it as a cluster so took her license for a year
You don't realise other than the health side of it the hassle and mental strain of not being able to drive. I was bad enough with 6 weeks

I was bad enough with 6 weeks Steve It was only 1 siezure thank God.Nothing compared to 2 1/2 years ago.I have got a metal heart valve and a pipe incasing my aorta up to my neck , I could not talk or walk, paralised down my right hand side but because I'm ambidextrous it was a mixed up stroke( the main one during the op). I slowly got limbs working again.Caused by gene 16 replicating.Wish your wife the best, importlantly we are still here.

That's terrifying Baz, must give you a different attitude to life
My wife's ok as it's all down to epilepsy.
She only got diagnosed about 12 years ago. She'd been going down like a bag of spuds for years and they always said it was down to something else. Luckily never happened while driving π¬
Was fine for 9 years, they say menopause meant it needed more meds now so fingers crossed
Stay safe Steve
