rd400 cylinder heads question

Hi im wanting a replacement cylinder head for my rd400c because one is damaged.

I have got one off a mate to try.

One head says 1A3  00

The other 1A1  00

both have a circle with a line in it,but at different angle, so does this mean they are of different rd400 models.

or wii it be ok to fit on my 1976 rd400c

the 1A1 00 is what is damaged and remove from the rd400c engine

Yes, different models and can have different thickness head gaskets. 1A1 is USA 1A3 is eu/uk Etc, but either will work as long as the squish inc gasket and volumes are the set the same.

Yes…piston crown to head, but as measured on the outer edge, not from any other part of the crown
