Hi,
Ride out other week temp gauge stated to go crazy bouncing, stood in traffic and temp went right up close to red. switched of briefly and it was reading 1/4 !! being in traffic had to get going again and it appeared to cool back. Bike appeared not to react to what I was seeing on the temp. Though revs dropped for one second but riding off it cooled back down.... However found when I finally managed to pull over spade connector was about off so assume it was shorting. pushed it back on stable reading again... like us all start to over think/worry.... I assume if was overheating I would have known about it! so expect it was the connector. Road home 100% ok just got bit hot just over half in traffic again but was odd day warm 20+ with no breeze last week...
Anyway caused me to now change the coolant as its getting on for 5yrs have Silkolene MAG COOL in at the moment but wondered if any recommendations.? I see Putoline Ultracool 12 or the NF type. Could stick with the MAG Cool.
What's people experience and happy with?

YPVS will get hot in traffic, they always did
For coolant I just use whatever is on offer
Give it a good long run and open it up
If ok I'd forget about it
Blown head gaskets or water pump seals don't repair them selves 😉
