Hi Guys,
I’m hoping someone can give me some advice after I got a bit carried away with an angle grinder!!!
I’ve removed all my fairing brackets from an RD350R frame but I got a bit carried away on one bracket and manage to grind a slight flat spot into one of the frame tubes!! 😬 I’ve checked it with a punch and there is still solid metal underneath it but it’s really obvious when you run your fingers along the tubing.
I was thinking of getting someone to apply a couple of beads of weld across the flat spot and then file it back to its original profile. Would this be the best way to fix it. I don’t want to risk weakening the area even more!!
Or should I just ignore my OCD and get it powder coated?? 😝
Cheers
Jim

Yes, weld over and dress back

Cheers Steve, I’ve got to get the panel infill lugs welded on anyway so can sort it at the same time. 👍
