I used to have a similar thing on my track bike some years ago, as in description there is no need for a battery but they will work on any bike with a kickstart or use an electric starter or bump start the bike.

Minor problem on a road bike if you have a fussy mot guy is that the lights will flicker a bit on tickover ….. Also LC might be different situation to YPVS . They work fine on a LC but not sure if the PVs on YPVS need stable dc

On a later ypvs with electronic tacho it won't like not having a battery
In fact it may fry the rev counter

Ignitech/Zeel may not fire up without voltage to start with.

My Zeel certainly doesn't
Flat battery, nowt. Seems weird using jump leads to kickstart it
