Hi, can someone confirm what the length the RHS spacer that goes between the rear brake and the chain adjuster on the rear wheel spindle on a 4L0 Rd350lc is please. I struggled to get the chain adjusters in when fitting the rear wheel as the gap was very tight, then when I fit the nut I can only get it far enough up the spindle to fit the split pin if I remove the washer. Everything looks good so I'm wondering if this spacer is too long. Cheers Ray

250(4L1) & 350(4L0) share the same right hand rear wheel spacer which measures 24mm long.

Cheers, turns out the ones Yambits have are the wrong length, at 29mm long instead of the correct 24mm, I've made them aware and been sent a refund. Thanks again Ray.

Shock horror customer buys shite from yam bits and it turns out it don’t fit. They’ll not do anything just keep selling them and refunding as and when.

I agree, but you’ll only get a refund if you bought it less than 30 days ago even if it’s unopened in a packet with Yambits printed all over it. As said before equally (if not more) as bad as some of the parts is their service. Jon

Yet another part to add to the list, how can they keep getting it wrong?

Yet another part to add to the list, how can they keep getting it wrong? To be honest I've had a lot of parts from Yambits over the years, always found their service good and delivery times second to none. I'm selective about what genuine and pattern parts I will use, experience gained over almost 40 years of LC ownership. A wheel spacer should not be something you have to be concerned about which is disappointing, but in their defence they sent a refund straight away for the one I had just bought and the one I'd had on the shelf for some time, they also told me to keep the ones that were too long, they're sat on my lathe waiting to be shortened or even used for another job, so all is good. Perhaps we could make a list of good and do not go near parts that are available for our bikes instead of just saying a certain supplier is shite, a lot of business is done on reputation and word of mouth and when supplier's go under it makes keeping our bikes on the road harder to do. Thanks again for the input, just my thoughts. Ray.

Ok so my thoughts on this are as follows again having owned lc’s and pv’s since the 1980’s and not a recent convert. The site you are on is owned by norbs who runs his own shop, there is no expectation that you buy from him and he has never really pushed his business down anyone’s throat. I’ve been buying from him for around 20years now. I have never ever had any problem with any of his products having built 2 standard lc’s a hybrid, a 31k, my Tz/Lc or ongoing for my flat tracker. The parts whether standard or commissioned by him have always done exactly what they say they will. Consequently I’d never go anywhere else. YamBits are well known on here for supplying parts that fail, seals, side stands, bearings, parts that don’t fit, cables, spacers etc etc etc These problems can affect any business, although they seem to have a disproportionate amount of ‘bad luck’. They have also been known to continue to sell these items even after their faults have been highlighted to other unsuspecting clients. In my eyes that is wrong on every level. You received a refund and so you should, others on here haven’t been so lucky eg side stands failing nope out of time etc etc etc So I am always happy to big up anyone running a business (I own my small business) where I take exception is when they know products aren’t fit but continue to sell them, where they don’t stand by their products and refuse refunds, so in my eyes their reputation on here is deserved. Consequently due to their attitude and poor parts and service I will never buy from them irrespective of how good certain items may be, in my eyes they don’t deserve my money when there are far better businesses out there. That’s the beauty of personal choice all of us are free to part with our cash where we see fit, me I prefer to support the good guys.
