I can get an old set of Lectrons that where used on an rz cup race bike, will they work on an lc? and can they be drilled for oil injection? I would have to trade $200 worth of cbr900rr race bike stuff for them.

I personally wouldn’t you’ll then have to make sure your tune fits the carbs, and the pipes and the ignition. Then you’ll be into jetting and over hauling the carbs etc Is the bike standard? What pipes are you running? Why do you want 34mm carbs?

34mm will be massive on an otherwise bat shit tuned LC, and then it will have poor low speed running due to the air velocity through the carbs, rarely do you need more than 28/30 at a Max.
Edited as 28 not 25 .

Waaay too much carb I would have thought. Pwk 28's are good up to mid 70's bhp, maybe more.

They won’t fit the LC. I have 2 sets here that I ran on RZ350s years ago,34and 36mm and neither will fit my lcs. I tried. They hit the frame. Just way to long. I went with a set of PWK35s on my last one. Run great on it.

The no’s have it then! I’m trying to keep the bike fairly standard the only mods planned so far are a set of tzr250 wheels and DG pipes. I could maybe use the big Lectrons on my +4mm hybrid rz build, can they be drilled for oil injection pipes?

What did you use for the oil nozzles? Does someone sell them?

Yes Norbo sells small brass ones, others have fitted them to the intake rubbers as well.

What did you use for the oil nozzles? Does someone sell them? I prefer these ones for the oil.. I make 2 holes, First I drill the hole the same as the internal size of the nozzle, the second hole the same as the outside and dept of the outer part of the nozzle....

Are those coils gonna fit under your tank ? Look kinda chunky to me. Norbo, Mutts, MBD etc all sell Banshee coils that will fit and offer reliable sparks, for not a lot of cash. Or you can go with a Dyna coil - they fit too, but more costly. As mentioned, you can fit oil feeds to the inlets. I bought billet inlets from Mutts and he pre fitted the feeds for me. Bonus is you dont disturb the oil lines when pulling the carbs; 20210403_160949 by dusty miller, on Flickr Dusty

Apparently the coils have CDI’s built into them and where used on an Rz350 race bike (for a little extra punch maybe)? They will probably just go back on the shelf and I’ll get a full Vape system for the little lc. I like the billet intake idea and not having to disturb the oil lines but I’ll probably use my 28mm 31k carbs with some upgraded reed valves.

but I’ll probably use my 28mm 31k carbs with some upgraded reed valves. 31k carbs are 26mm same as 4L0, unless you've bored them out.

Jon They don't, to tune the carbs to suit your setup you would need a collection of needles, they have different precision ground profiles on the needle, f**kin ace when they are running right but give them a wide birth. Lectrons use metering rods, you adjust them by 1 click at a time, you need a range of rods to match your setup, buggers to set up unless you have a load of metering rods and understand the codings on each rod, not for the faint hearted or a newbie/novice type person to carb tuning - even make me scratch my head at times !

A mate of mine run Lectrons on his race LC, Im guessing they must be smaller ones than those.
Canadian LCs had 26s, not 28s, as standard. Can be bored, but not OEM. The canadian LC is pretty much Aussie spec. I it does without the 'pass' on switch gear and light off switch as always on etc. Most LCs were pretty similar, that became more different as time moved on.
