Aprilia already saying he can join them this season. He’s always been temperamental, but it gives Cal a works Yamaha and Jake morbidelli’s ride. 👍

Jake Dixon is racing next weekend at British GP for petronas, Cal Is signed for at least 3 races, he’s also the official Yamaha test rider, so it’s a win for him, I suspect as well they’ll want to get the team-manufacturer world championship as well as rider championship ( which it looks like Quattararo should do).

I have never understood how Vinales kept his Yamaha ride for so long, he seemed to start a season well and then would run around making up the numbers, on a factory bike!

Mouse Same here, I think that they were way too patient with him. One of those riders that is fast when everything is perfect, but won't stick his neck out when it's not. He is going to get a big shock when he goes to Aprilia

Vinales has signed with Aprilia
I doubt it’s a bike he can ride, it’s totally different to the M1,
The Aprilia demands to be ridden hard and does not have the cornering manners of the Yamaha either
It’ll be similar to the Rossi/Ducati experiment
Good to see Jake Dixon get a run, and Cal too, he knows how to ride the M1 and will be a podium threat I feel

Yes indeed, however both Toprak and Jonny decided to stay put in WSBK
I wonder if the decision by Yamaha and SRT to run B spec bikes next year had anything to do with either decision to stay

The part time spare ride needs to go to someone to give them a "chance" not someone who's had plenty of chances.

What are the odds of Crutchlow crashing out?

Crutchlow? Desperate times indeed. He is their test rider , so bound to get the ride to further the development of the bike , and with Toprak not wanting moto gp until he is WSB champ it makes sense to me Mart

Yep great rider, was still competing in ASBK in his own team Desmo Sport until a year or so ago He started that team with the son of Brook Henry, Ben, another ASBK rider Brook is fairly well known in the Ducati world with his bevel drive engines and brand new cases he had made from the original blueprints, his company is Vee Two I've met all 3 of them as well as Mike Jones, team mate to Troy's son Ollie Troy is such a humble character and just came up to me to talk, I'd actually no idea who he was at first and as I was drooling at an 800 desmosedici he introduced himself I met Brook on a plane and by chance recognised his face as I'd just read an article about his work, fascinating guy too as was Mike Jones, Ollie was still too young to ride the SBK so didn't get to meet him If he's half as good as his dad, he'll go places
