So i have been looking for my RD125LC for years. It was last MOt'd in 2012 and i noticed it has had a new V5 issued on the 26th july 21. So it's out there. Reg no: A74 DMX I bought it brand new in october 1983 from Deeprose of Catford London and it is now showing as white but it was Candy blue from new. I put a chrome allspeed on it and it was highly tuned too.
Has anyone on here got it?

Come on, someone must have this bike now. It might well be in bits but the v5c changed in July. I'd love to either buy it back or at least know where it is now.

I actually wanted a kenny roberts one but Deeprose couldn't source one. They tried to get me to have a white one but i said nope. The candy blue was gorgeous. I nearly fell over when i saw the v5 was changed in July after all these years. It's out there somewhere

The fact you can't get the latest owners details anymore is just stupid. No one would mind a letter through the door asking a question. Stupid uk laws I bought it in october 1983 and i think i had it about a year when i passed my test on it and then got a 350LC. But when i saw the logbook changed in july this year i got excited. Still a mission to trace it though

My name is Andrew and i lived at number 74 as a kid and when i owned it I love finding coincidences with numbers. I've been collecting/dealing these bikes since 2003. I have quite a few coincidences with frame numbers and letters on new plates issued to my imports. If you were lucky enough to have a new one, I might be selling a near mint original import bike in blue, you might be able to buy a close match reg number from dvla.

Well it seems the v5 was reissued again on 24th May 2022. Still showing as a white rd125lc. So the reg hasn't been moved to a different vehicle.

Problem is would you feel comfortable with anyone being able to obtain the address of your pride and joy? Thief’s dream that is ! Scour EBay find the bike you want with its Reg showing away you go. If the DVLA were switched on they’d offer this for a small fee and act as 3rd party middle man. Everywhere I look at moment some looking for there old car or bike

It would be simple if they would just pass on your details to the owner and they can then decide whether to contact you or not.

Thing is most 125 early 1980,s owners are in their 50´s now and many dont do internet.. sometimes I dont come on to the forums or other stuff for months.. Im a bit anti tech even thought some of it is good and usefull.. That said take me back to 1990..lol. Stick mobile phones where the sun dont shine.. Freedomm..lol I had a 4 year old mk2 LC125 in 1991, Absolutly loved it. sold it eventually to buy a DT125r as I was into off roading.. Reg was D582amv Last log book change in 2007.. so probably in someones back garden or shed.. if it made it to 2007 id hope its still out there.. Have you tried the uk rd125 face book groups on your search.. John

Well i joined faceache in another name and joined all the groups. No one is saying they have my old girl. Still showing as sorn'd. Hoping to hear from the current owner still with regards to buying her back or if not then just to know where she is and what is happening with her. I have some history to share about her
