Hoping to do the 'Festival of 1000 bikes in July, anyone else fancy that? Mouse Yes, I will be there on a KH500. It's 50 years since the launch of the S1/S2/H2 so the Kawasaki Triples Club are planning celebrations and should have a good turnout there

I love your Black and Blue LC. Reminds me of Howard Lees (RIP) Production racer LC back in the early eighties almost the same color scheme that went on to become Team Bike endurance racing not on the LC obviously. Takes me right back to my misspent youth oh wait a minute I'm not done with it yet!

That bike is superb Mouse. Every time I see it I'm reminded of the Performance Bikes 24hr racer.

You might find this interesting, Steady Eddie talking about racing a Yamaha FZ at Daytona. How he describes feeling the head flexing under braking like it's nothing.

Can't fault it. Those fluid reservoirs are little works of art on their own. Sweetly done Mouse!

Fixed the electrical problem, some dodgy wiring to the horn (which some plank re-positioned, yes me!) and a new pattern ignition switch for £33, only had one key with the original anyway and she seems fine. Did thirty odd miles today, goes really well!
Just need some decent weather and fit the new tyres now!

Bit more done while waiting for better weather, thought i would modify the sprocket cover Wanted to give it more of a race bike look! Plus, it had been painted several times before and all badly!
So out came the hacksaw and files, i have never worked with magnesium before but what a beautiful metal, it's so easy to work, probably more than aluminium.
So having cut away all i wanted to, time to strip the paint. I tried Nitromors, but what a waste of time! So a quick call to Dusty, he came up trumps with some unidentifiable brown sludge, but boy did it work, cheers Dusty!
Just waiting for a warm day to paint it now. Mouse

From memory don’t you need to prime magnesium properly as it’ll oxidise very quickly?
