Then your gonna need quite deep pockets, you may get lucky with some parts here, check out the for sale section, and put up wanted adds in the wanted section, depends what you need, if you have to buy the bits on ebay, be prepared for some bidding wars, since lockdown and brexit prices have rocketed, sorry its not what you want to hear, but that's the way it is now.

Welcome aboard. This is a very friendly site and you'll find an answer to any problem you might encounter. Best bet is to start a build thread (there is a section for this) and ad pics so we can all see what needs to be done. Thankfully an LC is a wonderful bike to rebuild as every part is available...some parts however are very expensive so the more complete your bike is, the cheaper the build will (should) be!
EBay can be a godsend or a nightmare. So many dodgy sellers out there. But if you need a part just ask in the wanted section. Someone, somewhere, will have the goods you need and almost certainly cheaper than eBay.
So get some pics up and lets see the LC!
Alex

Welcome Steve ! Not sure what your reference point for cost and prices are but no matter about that the big advantage you have is you already have a bike !

Apart from ebay then, where else would you recommend getting spares?
Main Yamaha dealer I suppose?

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the build. Dusty has given you some good pointers for spares but you will still have to use eBay at some point. There is a for sale and wanted section you can reach after 10 posts and that may help too. It costs you nothing to put up a wanted post and you may get some response on here as many if us prefer to trade here amongst enthusiasts rather than the eBay sharks. Good luck with it and post up plenty pics.

Welcome to the forum! eBay can throw up a few bargains now and again but you have to be checking regularly and be quick !

Welcome and I would advise taking your time and not rushing out after parts. Have a look at some of the excellent builds on this forum. They are very entertaining and informative. So research first then you will be able to make sensible decisions.

I usually make a list of parts I need before I even start the build as it can take 6 months to source everything. Even then, during the build things pop up you didn't think of or thought the part was ok. I often end up buying 2 or even 3 of things though and only realise when I start the build phase, not because I'm greedy, just because I'm forgetful!

welcome in. Good advice on this thread, like the rest of the forum.
Start a thread, get some pics up (use search to find the thread on how to do that, its simple really) and then go from there. The Lcs are worth good money now, but as has been said that also means parts are no longer cheap.

Welcome in. If your not to bothered about going completely original and immaculate you can save a few bob and get a good useable runner built up.
