well, 749R in P&H for service, belts and fuel setup, so I decided to take the ypvs for a blatt up to Boxhill this afternoon, all good, scared a few Harley riders.........always fun !! however, back on the drive at home, when I wheeled her back onto the ramp..........C R A C K !!!!!!!!! then she leans right over on the left hand side and I just manage to catch her before she flys off the side of the ramp !!!! onto the area where the 749R normally sits !!!!!! just managed to lever her back up and then onto the centre stand so the side stand bracket has partially sheared and is now more of a 'flap' guess it's a sign to start getting on fitting the RGV bits now then ! anyone know if the frame/sidestand thing is a common easy fix could have been soooooooooo much worse I guess

My latest project is using a 350R frame and the bracket has been welded back on and seems solid. Might be good for another mod. My 31k/VJ22 has a TZR deseamed side stand fitted but have had to use rearsets as standard pegs foul it, good time to move it to suit another stand. TZR one has spring on outside so doesn't foul pipes. Steve

Another thought for you, most alloy framed bikes side stand brackets mount to a plate on the frame, R1 side stand nice, had one on the hybrid for a while but still fouled gear lever, not a problem if you move the bracket a bit. Here's a picture of an RGV one as an example. Steve. Attachments:
