Apparently Yamaha are now getting their ARS seals made in China too, and Yambits is selling the same ones, you want the earlier Jap ones, or ask PJME about his new Jap ARS seals that he has made for own stock, was a thread a couple weeks ago about this.

The ARS seals are the same as OEM Yamaha seals. The original SFK seals did not have the red/brown coating on the inner lips, which the ARS ones do. The latest SFK ones do now have the coating, so should be okay.

If Yam buys ARS seals with the lipgloss (coating) from China then I would say that Yam is saying they are fine. I would use them.

If I bought from Yamaha directly I would have confidence....but let’s take NGK plugs as an example.....since there is clear evidence Yambits don’t understand the importance of material specifications and supply chain control, would you prefer to buy a plug that looks like NGK from them or a authorised regional distributor?.... Just having ARS moulded in the polymer and a lip coated ring....doesn’t make them ARS....I have simply been let down personally by Yambits on enough occasions that I will now never by anything from them that has a critical functional purpose.

Totally agree with above
Says NGK on a fake plug
I now only buy plugs from my local bike shop, don't trust any plugs off ebay
Even better if he's been just short of a discount and bought Yam boxed plugs
I said at the beginning of this thread that they could just be copied from an ARS seal
If they are brazen enough to make those copy BMW X5's and that's the legit ones what's the dodgy ones capable of

We've said it a million times, only use OEM seals... if its in a Yam bag and from a dealer or trusted supplier it will be fine.
I would not trust a random 'ARS' seal from someone else lip-gloss or not.
