I can remember we used to spend time after time, sitting on our LCs, reving them in gear , with the bike balanced forward and then rock backward and fly off the stand with a screech of tyre and a wheelie..seemed fun at 18..
No wonder so many are in bad shape..

Sourdough's yeast is in the air.. you can start your own yeast very easily... yours will probably be very expensive but with little taste... Or you may get lucky with one...and get a most disagreeable one... and the bread is full of holes and mainly wind...ermmmmm.... Have a go at your own chilli jam... I have won prizes and silverware for my jams...I shit you not!

Next time I'm in the UK can I pop over Steve and grab a jar? Bloody love a good Chilli Jam. I always wondered if these cheese framed LCs were really just the bikes that the lads who liked 'the larger bird' rode back in the day? after all most of us were skinny 7 stone things back then as we existed on a diet of fags and booze plus the odd packet of chips.

Need to chop it out, luckily I've got a frame section Steve Personally I wouldn’t use the whole section, just the bracket. Take the chance to put in a thicker tube. Standard LC on left, thicker tube on right. Jon

The problem is that it is a bare frame so getting them in the right position is the problem
I'm going to make a cut on the side frame rails right at the rear of where the rail joins the side tubes and stop half way through
I will then cut 2 inches in front of the rail stopping half way through
Then I will dremel along the tube top and bottom to meet the 2 cuts
This will remove the knackered rail but leave the frame intact
If I then cut the repair section to match it should slot in perfectly aligned

Can you not make some kind of jig on the good frame before removal?

Can you not make some kind of jig on the good frame before removal? Jon Ideally I would have but it's only the stand section I have I have a thicker bit of tube and new stand brackets so is possible If I had a good frame I'd have fitted the engine mounts then made flat bar to go from the mounts to the stand lugs on a good frame then jigged up the new brackets In a perverted sense I'm tempted to do it as the correct od tube I have is cut from my Suzuki GT750 frame 🤣 Steve
