That was like watching a flashback, London heston services to Cardiff Gate services on an R1, took 1 hour, wouldn't do it now though, you get frustrated with people not moving over, in the wrong lane and so on, you can see people startled as you pass by, by the sound and flash of bike, your doing around a ton faster than them, I don't think its a death wish, more like I am invincible.

Probably the most boring road on the planet that as well, had to ride like a knob or fall asleep. At least two nearly take him out though because they haven't seen him but then how would you, its going like a cruise missile.

In the US it's legal to undertake other traffic. I'm amazed no one took him out. No idea why he bothers with a lid and gloves, its not going to help at all. f**ktard.

I've rode like an asshole before but that's a different league 🙄
The diagonal cuts through traffic and the passing on the white lines between cars/lorries is just Russian roulette
Funny what Andy says about the keeping awake bit
Reminds me of heading up the M6 after work meetings in Northampton and heading back to Scotland
After 3 hours I'd be struggling to stay awake
Solution - get the foot down so the adrenaline of the speed/trying to spot police/camera vans soon wakes you up 😆

Funny thing, I'm 57 now, I tour with a mate at least once a year, usually a couple of thousand miles plus, our record day was a ride from Andorra to Stockport in a day (18 hours to be precise) fukin killed me but never even nearly fell asleep, I actually thought I couldn't. Couple of years ago on a motorway in France heading to Spain and I thought, f**k did I just nod off, road on a little bit and recall actually waking up, caught my mate up, pointed at the services, we pulled up and he said he had done the exact same thing, wasn't even that long a day, getting old its no good.

Video is a few years old now but this is a road local to me and the rider is still riding today and just as nuts. There are 5 of them with r1’s collectively known as the yambams and for good reason too. Totally agree it is just a matter of time 🙁

I just watched a couple of minutes of above and I’m looking for deer, pheasants and doddery old gits like me not prepared for fast bikes as I pull out of a side road. Obviously I am prepared but plenty ain’t. The young me and the person I am now are quite different 😂

Yup! It’s the law here now so the organ harvesters can have the pick of what’s left. Probably not much left in any condition to be re used anyhow methinks!

Like most, I’d probably put my hand up to driving like a loon when I was 19 and thought I was fireproof, but a couple of incidents woke me up and I realised the track was the safer place to ride....even faster and in a safer environment. Think that decision probably why I’m here today. When Lady Luck rolls her dice you can often get away with one close shave, two bad rolls in quick succession and can be another story. The ice we skate on is very thin.. The following footage isn’t gory, but none the less shocking and a stark reminder that if you ride like you are invincible every road junction and every car driver could end up proving you’re not...
I’m going out later for a spin, glorious sunshine here. Ride safe guys

I'd usually keep it to around 100 as I need my license for my job Strangely I think I may have seen them on that road. Obviously doing daft speed as despite me not hanging around we passed in opposite directions at one of the junctions as I turned out towards Croftamie then they passed me again later coming towards me so they had looped round the long way and still came out ahead of me Reminds me why I sold my 06 R1. Just way too much way too easy on the road Steve

I know I’ve done some incredibly stupid riding over the years and have a leg shorter than the other as a consequence, I’ve been incredibly lucky, my dad and brothers have all had fairly serious accidents. However it’s all relative as the speeds were slower the roads not as busy and the bikes certainly weren’t anywhere near as fast. With age and responsibility comes a calming age for most of us. The amount of luck needed when riding like this, is huge every time you push the boundaries you’re getting ever closer to not making it back. Irrespective of your own skill it’s the other idiots you’ve got to be mindful of, all it takes is Sandy and Sandra in their Nissan micro to pull out and that is it.

And there is many an innocent person pushing daisies up due to the selfish behaviour of idiots.... When people behave like this on public highways every other person on them is at risk....shame on the idiots, what they need to see is the boots of a dead person sticking out from underneath a lorry...crushed. Race on tracks and see how fast you really aren't.....

Gotta say though I enjoyed watching it, I can tell its not in Kent the roads here riddled with potholes the bike wouldn't survive those speeds.
