Hi,
I’m on the lookout for a used gearbox for my RD350R (1995) but I haven’t got a clue which parts will fit and which won’t. I keep seeing 31k, 4lo, etc mentioned. I think mine is a ‘4CE’ model??
Please can anyone point me in the right direction and advise me which model type and year/s will fit my bike.
Also any suggestions for the best sites to look on would also be great.
Thanks in advance
Jim

I've ordered the banshee input shaft, 1st output gear and both 6th gears
Hopefully it will end up in my 385
Said 2-3 days to despatch from main warehouse but got an email today saying Yam has said May 12th before delivery to them
In no hurry so no probs

Banshee first is taller 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th are a bit in the wrong direction and 6th is slightly taller (about 0.013 difference on the ratio) If you have a ypvs gearbox with a pitted or burnt out 6th it can make it usable again Steve

Oooh nice. Wouldn’t mind seeing a piccy of that when it’s taking shape. Might give me a bit of inspiration 👍 It's a bike that's been evolving since I bought it as a rolling chassis in 2009 (I actually owned this bike in the late 80's so was amazed I found it) I did the 385 engine in 2014 but got side tracked with other projects so it's been unused since 2016 I'm recommisioning just now but I intend to take the engine out, rebuild it into its machine number cases and do a little more work on the top end Here's how it looks Steve

Wow. I do like that.
If my RD350R to RD350N conversion/hash up looks half as good as that I’ll be chuffed to bits.

I apologise unreservedly Steve, if it was my previous comments that made your beautiful bike hide itself away I take it all back, and No your arse doesn’t look big in that sweetie.

The bottom pic looks like there’s some dodgey home made back rack on it 🙈 I had to do a double take before realising it’s a frame behind it 😈😂😂

So it is Matt I just assumed it was the sub frame strengthened to manage the weight of the seat 🤷

She mentioned she had met a short arsed ginger haired jock, who she knew some years ago. Daddy? Is that you?
