Started with a ypvs bottom end from italy €200 delivered, next some 31k barrels from muttsnutts in yorkshire from rd lc forum , on the lookout for a lc frame loads in germany , but most of the sellers seemed reluctant to post to uk🤷♂️Put a load of searches in ebay no luck🤦♂️Put wanted add on rd lc forum no luck
Then one Saturday teatime, just looking on ebay , some low mileage bits for a 250 lc started appearing, sent seller a quick message, you got a frame mate? , as soon as finished txting , got a reply yes mate 👍
are you open to sensible offers i txt , yes i get reply, £250 i put , ha ha he puts back , have you seen what rusty old shit is fetching nowadays on ebay 😂i put a sensible offer in and say can pay cash and pick up tomorrow morning , no ebay fee’s dont list it , he accepted the offer 👍 so i get of to Essex at 6 in the morning, wife not happy 😂 you spending shitloads on bikes again, yes thanks , so I picked up a 1 owner 30000kms frame on a A plate with all the mot certificates and tax discs👍 That started in September 2016 got the frame April 2017 . Will put some pics up soon parts have come from allover the world hence United Nations lc 😉

3tj6 873 Posted March 26, 2020 So was getting a lot of parts from Redbimota on the rd lc forum, the guys a legend, looking at lining the bike up using fzr 3tj forks and wheels with a dt 125 lc swingarm, using a 520 chain , a rd lc forum member in South Africa has done this , but you only have a couple of mm clearence between chain n tyre? So went to look for a metmachex or jmc swingarm, couldn’t see any, on the usual sites , so tried Shpock, hmmm
£150 thanks

So after getting the metamachex swingarm, the fzr 3tj rear wheel was too wide across the hub to get it to line up for the chain to line up properly, so bought a szr 660 rear wheel

This was lined up by machining caliper carrier and making up new spacers all done by fatfreddie19 from the performance bikes forum, great job done within a week, pleasure to deal with too👍

Looks like a spondon swingarm, a bargain.

Swingarm is a metmachex from 1982-3 with spondon adjusters 👍

I like The SZR rims, not sure how they rate weight wise.

Its got a fzr 3tj wheel in the front, the szr rear has had a fair bit alloy sanded off it to make it look the same as the front😊

Fatfreddie 19 machined the 3tj top yoke to take risers for standard lc bars , so everything was lined up , onto the electrics, got a 31k loom from ebay but had been bodged up a bit , so put a wanted add on the lc forum, a member in Australia had a new replica loom , so bought that , thanks jonw👍
