We dont really do 'what are they worth' threads, but im sure if you put pics up you will generate some chatter. If you make 9 more posts in the forum you can then put them up for sale as well.

Thanks for the advice.. just wanted some guidance rather than sarcasm.. no need to be salty.. take a look at yourself.. do you not want to help others who have less knowledge on a subject you may know?.. If eBay is best I will list there I was merely seeking advice.. Thank you..

snoogy . A lot more detailed description and a lot of pictures would be the best way to get an idea of what you have. Condition, V5's etc. Even a rough location then someone localish might even come and have a look and give you idea of value.

Put a few more details and some pics up matey and I’m sure some of us will point you in the right direction, well on the 350LC anyway, not sure about EXUP prices these days ( I had a Loctite 0W01 lookalike back in ‘91)

Snoogy You have joined the best forum for anything Lc related. As long term members we see people join ask brief questions with very little information who then expect members to take time out to assist then these new members disappear without so much as a thank you. I’m not saying that’s what you’ve done or indeed are planning on, however you’ve not introduced yourself not given any details in your rather vague description and it could appear that the only reason you’ve joined is to get a valuation so that you can sell your bike/s. Pete is absolutely right the best place of you only want to get maximum price is eBay do some research that will inform you. However you could possibly post some pics give a far more detailed description and find that members will be willing to help and maybe after 10 posts you could also sell what you have here. Also note that some traders inhabit this forum looking to pick stuff up on the cheap and then retail your items on eBay. These are likely to send you private messages whether you chose to go down this route is entirely down to how quickly you want to move things on.

You may be surprised at what you could get for the LC even "rough" Dont be tempted to do anything to it...people will pay for that privilege.... its what they do for a hobby. Maybe clean it up (get rid of spider shit and bird shit and dust) and give it hose off with pics of it "in the wet" They are fetching £10k plus, so dont accept "I'll only give you x because it needs so much spending on it...thats BS. Good luck and hurry flogging it... furloughed wallahs are going back to work soon ....if there is a job left for them.... Oh and wary of PMs offering to buy, do your homework!! Dont get ripped off!!! And if its a UK bike with matching numbers (legal ones...) and you have paperwork.... you are golden

Mate, we don’t even know what you got....could mean anything! .... not even any details....maybe you don’t realise that makes a huge difference? How are we supposed to comment...? Bit like me just asking you how much is my house worth?

Rd250 frame (assume you mean UK LC frame?) with V5 that also shows up as current in gov vehicle check ? here if you are not sure vehicleenquiry.service.gov.ukprice... assuming no rot, all brackets present, strait....means in particular main and side stand... £500-£650 engine , again assuming you actually mean LC not Aircooled , no chain damage, numbers clear correct, side cases and stator, no carbs, not run for 15 plus years, similar as frame £500 ish. if the frame number matches the engine number, then the pair together carry a premium over just sum of the Parts of £300+

My advice would be to split it and sell of parts individually.
From the looks of those pictures I would say most will be reluctant to part with big money as it looks to be in terrible condition.
Are those side cases and head plated? If so again more expense returning them to useable, . At least then people can see the condition of an individual piece, and you’ll probably make more money and have a bigger audience.

Sound advice buddy.. thank you.. yes th y have been brass plated from what I know..
Sorry to press you.. but in the condition it's in it's not worth much?. I think I may just have to list on eBay with a reserve and see where we go.. I will be trying to seek a lot of the engine frame and documents hopefully..
Again thank you for the reply my friend..

Spray it with WD40 so it looks (abit) more presentable and bang it on ebay with no reserve and it will find its own money..probably around £500 ish at a guess but you never know as people get bidding fever....

Thanks man I think this is the way forward.. definitely a little clean.. you think £500ish with frame and that?.. do you think it worth just putting all the RD stuff together?. Seat forks etc?.

Maybe splitting the stuff would be better? put on the same ebay advert. RD seats, (windie ones) especially good ones are worth a bit as they rot, My C seat is as rotten as John Lydon.

The engine alone would be £500ish If it turns over
If you have an LC frame with a V5 that would be £500ish as well
If the frame and engine have the same number then sell together
If you have a load of the bike roughly throw it together.
Some folk on ebay seem either delusional about refurb/rebuild cost or don't have the money to buy a good complete bike so buy a dog for £2k then spend a couple of years spending/refurbing when they have money available
Cost more in the long run but suppose it's just like the old HP payments. Pay double in the end

Yes sir the V5 engine and frame match.. so between £500-1k.. I'll put a reserve on it of 500 and go from there bud..
Thank you everyone for all the help.. I'd buy you a pint if you were local and of course if the pubs were open..
I'll be back with a bunch more questions with the other bikes I have..
Grateful to you guys.. you the best..

That great news for if the frame and cases numbers match...the condition of the engine becomes far less important. The engine has got to come apart anyway so it will help the value if people can see inside the engine covers and take a look at the cylinders. Give it a bit of a clean down then just undo a few bolts.
As for your other parts....some bits might be valuable....main stand if you had one for instance, yet other things scruffy forks...almost worthless
Probably not a good idea to sell the nice things as job lot...just sell the leftovers like that.
As I said yesterday, you can use eBay to see the prices stuff sold for if you know how to search sold items...that’s not the same as just putting on eBay to see what happens. Sold items on eBay give you idea of what the open market is....BUT, eBay has its down sides and costs so we do sell to each other on here at costs that reflect the open market but discounted by the fees and hassle factor..

I understand.. I just trying to resolve my post as to not bore you guys as I'm sure you have had the same questions over and over.. I will do exactly as you just suggested.. open it up a little and give it a clean.. I just checked the frame and engine numbers.. they match however the frame looks to have been painted/powder coated so it's difficult to make out the number.. apart from that.. after I given it a clean and.took all the photos I'll post back here to see if it's worth selling here rather than eBay.. I'm open to suggestions.. Again thank you for taking the time out to help.. I really appreciate it..

I'd definitely whip the head off and see what bore size its on, you never know it might be standard or first over, so worth knowing for a buyer

point 2.5 is .25 first oversize not 2.5

More likely 0.25 as it’s a 250, and generally 2.5 is written as 2.50
