Nice project . I was going to suggest cut the tank bottom out to get at the dents . They have come out pretty good . I would put the tank in a garden incinerator to burn the paint off and get a container big enough for the tank and soak it in a citric acid solution .Been using the stuff for years on rusty tanks before lining . Plenty of videos on you tube , Oh wait here's one

Good Idea about the fire I was going to get my friend the blast the inside to while the bottom is open , I will check out the acid π

Hi , citric acid removes the rust and leaves the good steel alone . I use 20 to 30 grams per ltr with the water 28 c or warmer a friend of mine uses a fish tank heater . Me i get a few kettles full of boiled water on the job .

Hi everyone , beautiful day today βοΈ Today I made some stainless wheel spacers up for darryls rear wheel .the rear wheel is from a different model fzr so the spacer's didn't work out the wheel was offset .it turnes out the spacer's from my fzr rear end worked out to be spot on so I replicated them .Now it sits lovely , another job off the list π

nice work. I had to do a longer piece on my F2 frame so know how much fun this kind of repair can be. I found the frame remarkably solid and it didnt move even when cut as I fitted the engine in to check the mounts etc and that had been cut years back and left as a roller etc. more solid than you might think, thanks Mr Yam!

Cool. At least when you have RWU forks this is easier to get right, most of the USD forks push the headlight and hence the bikini fairing too far forward and the look becomes wrong. Its one of the reasons (one of many lol) that Hags XSR900 'RDLC lookeylikey' is to my mind funny looking. Its fine if you dont see an LC2 most days, ie youre not on here, I guess.

Nice work! Is it worth triangulating the fairing mounts too, as I would be worried about getting a stress crack due to the engine vibrations?? An extra link could go to the lower headlight bars.
