Afternoon men. Does anyone know of a supplier for the brake caliper slide pins? I've had a trawl of the net but cannot find any Also, when refitting the caliper boot thing onto the slide do you use red rubber grease, copper grease or normal grease please? TIA Mellow

Hi. I can’t help with the pins. But I have years of experience with rebuilding callipers. I now use red rubber grease where pins slide in rubber boots. I used to use copper slip and grease but found over time the boots would swell. That’s not to say red grease is the correct grease but it works 👍🏻

Another modern suggestion is to use Molykote 111. It really is good stuff. Excellent lubrication properties and perfect for modern rubberware.
