Hi Mr K good to see you back. Heat is your best friend to release loctite. Normally i heat the base of the stud not much more than 100 degrees and if its really stuck hit the stud on the head with a hammer whilst trying to loosen it.

Ive found that an electric decorating heat gun/paint stripper works best, as opposed to a blow torch.
