Can anyone recommend a rivnut tool, must be able to do up to m8. There's a lot on the net but I can't tell the good from the rubbish

i used this one to put a chain slider on me metmachex goes upto m10 so plenty good enough had a practice first to see how it works

I have a hand riveter type one for setting rivnuts . You do need a good pair of hands for it . I have used the type suggested and have found them very good .

Mine is like an oversized version of normal waterpump pliers and is designed to be used one handed, cos of this it is very hard to use on non alloy rivnuts, I'd defo go for the above style and reminded me i need to order one like that.

I've got the laser one not cheap at 100 pounds but it does what you want and does monobolts and big rivets too as extras
