1. The collar on the front chain sprocket shaft is longer than the LC one. Thanks Dusty. 2. You can check the timing but not adjust it. 3. You can't torque the nuts fixing the barrels. 4. You need to refit the stator plate before torquing up the rotor. Schoolboy error. A few lessons learnt today.

Oh and very important
Torque the head bolts with the base nuts finger tight Then tighten the base nuts
Helps the head seal if any minor issues with deck level or warp

I dunno why, but I assumed that the rear pads were the same as the later 31K / F2 front calipers, but they are not. I guess they look kind of similar. Or maybe that was just me

Will the venhill torque wrench with open spanner ends that I use on the mx bikes not do the pv barrel base nuts ? Guess I'll find out when I get round to doing the hybrids pv lump thats been waiting patiently for 20 years.

I'm not familiar with venhill torque wrench but you can't get a conventional one on most of the nuts. You can get a ring or open ended spanner on them, so sounds like you may be ok.

Frankly :-) I'd be Far more concerned with the quality of the seal on the cyl Base gaskets. Over that of the Cyl Head gasket. HG leaks can be a nuisance . Cyl Base leaks can be catastrophic. Your Choice Kids.
