Hi all.
Here's a pic of my old LC. All the work was done before I got it. Guess the previous owner didn't know if he wanted a Harley or an LC.
Looks like its still around AAG919X. Anyone on here ?
Also, has anyone got a 4L0 frame, or rolling chassis (preferably with V5) for sale ?
Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
midlifecrisislc, thanks for that, it's recently resurfaced as blue. It was blue when I had it, then when I checked 7 or 8 years ago it was black. Obviously blue again now.
Right, I'll try to post the picture again.

Despite the badly pixelated photo, the eagle eyed among you might have spotted that when it was repainted from the original black to the blue (by Dream machine I believe) they got the stripes on the tailpiece the wrong way round.

Thanks guys. Sadly I sold it in 1987 for £750. Damn you, Hindsight !!!! Although probably would be worth less than a standard one today ?

Thanks guys. Sadly I sold it in 1987 for £750. Damn you, Hindsight !!!! Although probably would be worth less than a standard one today ? It's close enough I would say, for me anyway. You'll probably see a string of replies using all the derogetory terms for the mainly imaginary peolpe who supposedly only like LC's if they are, shall we say 'as they left the showroon' now. I'll list some of them to save them the trouble: Rivet counters. Anoraks. Green bolt brigade. I'm sure there are many more but these seem to be the favourites. We all have our opinions but the constant repetitive namecalling between the supposed opposite camps is the onlt thing that does my head in. To be fair this site is O.K. but ask a guestion about what the factory finish was on a bottom yoke on most of the LC FBook pages and await the torrent of sh@te. Just to make myself clear. I've not asked any questions about the standard factory finish on anything. I dearn't (BTW it's zinc and olive drab passivate). Personnaly I don't think any LC looks better than mine the day I rode it away from the dealer in 1983. Didn't stop me sticking Allspeeds on it a couple of weeks later though. I wouldn't have minded sticking something like a Nitron shock on it either but a) they weren't available in 1983 and b) I had no money in 1983 if they were!

Probably cos they dont know the answer I never understand why people cant just be happy someone likes 'our' bikes. We all modded them back in the day, doesnt mean we cant do that now, but also that we dont have to. My own fleet has restored and modified bikes, one is very very modified. I can play at being an anorak, but i can also let my creative side run free - so can anyone else on here. Live 'n let live in the LC life.

To be fair, this forum is far, far more friendly than Facebook will ever be. Any ribbing that goes on here is , usually, between friends and people that know each other well. "Each to their own" is very much the mentality here. No one can like every bike they see, and I think the members here are usually happy to scroll on by something that's not their "cup of tea", not something that happens often on Facebook, which seems to be frequented by a lot of keyboard warriors who type exactly what they like, no matter how offensive it may be. Say the same thing , face to face in the pub, and the results could be very different !! It's quite funny seeing how things escalate VERY quickly on Facebook - shame, as there are a lot of great bikes and owners posting stuff daily - you just have to tune out the knob'eds The only flare ups that happen here tend to be over issues that are not bike related. Covid and Politics should be left outside ! Dusty

There's never going to be anything on them that couldn't be answered much better on here. I just like looking at the pictures
