Looking to replace the front caliper bolts on my R1-Z with stainless steel items. Talking to the team at Powerhouse the threads are 8mm x 1mm pitch unlike the normal 8mm x 1.5 pitch which they do not stock. Has anyone encountered this size or know of a reputable stockist, i would prefer cap head or even button head rather than hexagon if only to match the rest of the bike. Thanks Bry

Is it not just m10 x 1.25 like all other caliper mounting bolts?

They are 40mm and 45mm long, two of each per caliper. It is an oddball pitch size hence the unavailability by the looks of things. I could have the existing re-plated or leave the originals which in truth are okay but i prefer stainless. Its madness at times, can,t leave bugger all alone. LOL

have you had them out?? i totally stripped mine, but can't remember if there was anything special about the caliper bolts etc? I'll try and have a look tomorrow, but would assume I put the originals back in. Same as FZR250 calipers and other generic ones around at the same time.

Yes i took two out (one at a time) to measure the length as i couldn't find any to compare. Powerhouse said the 1mm pitch was rare and only covered a few bikes maybe the FZR250 is one. The good thing is the previous owner had used Copaslip so the removal was easy. Why the use of 1mm pitch who knows .

Look at Stig fasteners, they have pretty much anything you will want in stainless which is more than adequate for this job.
