I got these yesterday Cheers Avb 👍 Is that a childs hammer with the pin punches Nope it’s a full size club hammer and big punches , the socket set is 3/4 drive and rather large 🤔 I probably won’t use it much but who cares as long as it’s there when needed 👍 I had to stand on a chair to get them in the pic

Is that a childs hammer with the pin punches Stu they look like mega pin punches compared to the socket ratchet. That little lot weighed 27kg and the parcel force man was well pissed off dragging it to the door through the snow 😂😂

Tone 3/4" ratchet... in the body smaller than most 1/4"ers. An amazing bit of Japanese kit for when you need to get into small spaces. Perfect for nipping up the AYC bleeders on the Evo rear axle, nothing else would get in there and most mechanics leave em a bit loose cos of that. Also great for bike stuff of course.

I just brought myself a Worx impact wrench and a set of impact sockets because I'm expecting some stubborn bolts on my F2 that's never been apart

Waiting on these arriving Fed up using washers, sockets etc to fit bearings and seals 😀 I love these sets and the SKF set is great to use along with the induction heater. The last induction heater i used was like a multi tool and could be used for small and really large bearings. I googled the model and it was just short of 5000 euros.

I don't understand the fascination with tools... I don't have time for them. Far too many tools in this world, I have no intention to add to their numbers.

I'm very lucky, my company budget me 140 euro's a month on tools without question, then if i want to order something a bit more expensive i have to ask for permision.

I wish I worked for someone who had that approach Tony. So do I ! I had £1500 of tools stolen out of my works van last year and the company I work for said that personal stuff is not insured and didn't help out with a penny towards replacements, a lot of the senior management are a shower of shite ! Just seeing it out until the private pension fund has matured

Yesterday I couldn’t find all my g clamps I wanted whilst making kitchen cabinet carcasses. Popped out and bought a pair of these. www.wickes.co.uk/Irwin-T1196-Record-Medium-Duty-G-Clamp---6in/p/139189Now I know it’s not very exciting, but being 6” they have a good ‘throat’ depth which was a big advantage over my old 4” ones. So size really does matter. Jon

Jon Jon, I am a huge fan of these Irwin clamps: www.wickes.co.uk/Irwin-10505942-XP-Heavy-Duty-Bar-Clamp-Spreader---6in/p/144185They come in long lengths and will hold stuff really well and are very easy to use one handed. A lot of builders here use them for large timbers before drilling and fixing etc. Ive seen a lot of weight held in place with these, one guy lifted the edge of a very large deck with one setup to run backwards (drift the pin out and swap the ends round).
