Golden bronze is a Candy , so never going to really get close with a single layer paint. Paint suppliers can match to a one coat Pearl and mix a can for you but really depends what you are trying to achieve. You thinking of diy ?

Thanks , I thought it may of been a 2 stage type paint but being 45 years I wasn't sure,, there is a paint supplier about 10 mile from me I've just found who can put in rattle cans .. I just want to do the headlamp bowl and ears plus oil tank as they are a bit tired compared to the rest of the paint , I want to keep a bit of originality but not wanting it to be too rough if that makes sense

Maybe also keep your eyes open for original headlamp shell and ears in golden bronze. NOS still about as are good used. IMO keeping things authentic (warts n all) can be as satisfying as a blingtastic resto.

Exactly....find some nice ears and a shell that have a degree of sunlight fade etc and in pretty good condition is probably a better fit than repainted although actually ears and shell are not the most conspicuous bits of paint.
