This does confuse me slightly🤔 when does a tatty (ish) bike all of a sudden become Excellent, Original & unmolested ( well according to the seller ) , looks to have had plenty of work and a motor change !! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224340147681

Normal sellers blag it’s not original how can it be with an engine change ( of course it doesn’t bother him he’s selling it) pipes look like they’ve been painted, rear brake pedal and kick start appear to be painted etc etc etc etc

You’d be far better buying this import, thing with German and Austrian bikes is because of the tuv test they can’t mess about with them. Makes his look expensive. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254834428197

The problem is if you don’t know the bikes you buy it in good faith, he may or may not know what’s wrong with it? New owner delighted in their new purchase until they join here .

You could be right there Veg , to be fair I’ve seen bikes only slightly better than this with the seller claiming it to be mint ! Suppose we all have different perceptions of how we see things,, for me a more accurate brief appraisal of this particular bike would be “ nice clean, usable condition , non matching numbers, Irish import 4L0 bike that with a bit of time and money could be improved on “ just not that sure I could ask £6995 for it then though 😂 still ! 68 watchers on it 😵

Any change needs to be type approved hence why so few are as after market bits need to gain approval otherwise you fail the tuv their equivalent of the mot. 👍

OEB Wiring harness sleeve f**ked. Something that is wanting, becomes something that is golden... is normal sales man speak... ie slaver (or lies as we know it) No show without audience...... £7k.....fuel cap, clock bracket bolts...... 7 fookin k.... arse and stick it... Import one from EU and pay vat and duty and...still get a better deal.

OEB I thought it had been re-painted too. The decals look too shiney as if they’ve been lacquered over, and the front mudguard braket and rivets look to be painted white. Engine obviously has different fasteners and no clips on oil lines. So not only a change of engine but highly likely to have been apart. Jon
