Any ideas how to get this out.... It's stuck fast and the bearing doesn't seat in it properly.... Cheers

What have you tried already? Just pulling with grips?
I’d be ...
Heat, freeze, PB blaster and tap it around..
If no go, repeat
If seriously no go, worst case scenario... I’d Dremel it into three bits even if t takes a bit of aluminium as it won’t affect fit or function.

If it’s fully home why doesn’t the bearing seat properly?

I think I’d try scoring a very small vee into the aluminium both sides of the c clip, then heat the cases. Use a flat bladed screwdriver as a a drift and tap the end of the clip to try and rotate the clip.

I can't get grips on it .... I've tried hitting the top edge with a blunt punch.... It's stuck fast

Heat and drift it from the ends is what i would do.

Has it rusted then expanded ? What about soaking it in some rust eating solution

Lube it and tap it gently with nylon hammer. Or piece of wood between steel hammer. Then take a flatblade to hit the end of the clip. I think you don’t need heat.

There's no way this clip is coming out without damage to the crankcase....I think the new bearing pin was a bit too long and lifting the bearing..I've filed a tad off the pin..... The bearing seems to sit in crank ok now..... Does the c clip really need to come out ?
On another note if you look at the picture a previous pin has gouged a groove where it must have spun a bit..... Would appreciate if you think this will cause a problem..... Cheers 👍

Were you fitting the pin into the drilling at the bottom? or into the small cut-out next to the C-clip as shown?
For the 'damaged' bit, just make sure it's nice and smooth with the surrounding surface, you could assemble the cases just to check both faces meet nicely before applying any final sealant.

Fitting the pin in the small cut out next to the c clip
I didn't know you could use the holes at the bottom

No I've never used the holes either, not even sure what they are there for. Always use the groove/cut-out as you mentioned. I'm sure some of the early bearings had a small ball in the outer race rather than the pin??
