Hello folks I’m new to this forum but not new to two strokes or the RD, I started off with field bikes in my early teens moved onto road bikes first buying and tidying up an RD50 then bought my first RD 125 MKII which was much more fun it was a C reg 86 in black that was back in 1989 the lad I bought it off had head butted the tank somehow trying to wheelie it, said he’d jumped off the back and saved it from any further damage but there was still a big dent in the top of the tank from his lid, but I didn’t care 17 and a fast two Stoke and for £500 although skint myself was well happy as it was in great shape other than a slightly rusty swing arm, at the garage where I worked was a bloke who was into bikes so learnt a lot from him plus he’d just bought a new compressor and wanted something to try it out on and ended up spraying the swing arm for me then he sorted, the dent by putting a cargo strap round the tank and jammed a air hose on the petrol tank tap and managed to pop out the dent almost perfect ,after that had a lot of 125s RDs,TZRSs quite a lot of big four strokes and around 12 years back bought a couple of RD 350 LCs one rough and one about half way there and a 250 that ran well but looked terrible, I did the 250 to a good standard having it totally in bits and getting it on the road and was that pleased with it that the other two have taken a back seat until recently, but still interested after all this time. ATB John

Welcome John, started on an RD, was it black with spokes or white with mag wheels. Restriction (and funds) made a lot stick to FS1E's, AP or the Honda 4 stroke 😁

Welcome john, nice you have a couple of projects still to do, if you need any encouragement, boys on here will give you lots of help, once you start and you see progress, they'll soon be finished (funds permitting) Pictures though, always pictures.

Thanks for the welcome, I’ll put some pictures up soon, any ideas where I could take a Couple of sets of wheels and get them painted, I can do the prep work but could do with a job that’s going to make the bike look as good as new, I have done a fair bit of Spraying in the past with some good results but there’s got to be someone out there who can take them to another level, I’ve read a few posts already and some good ideas and information about, I’m in the process of getting my 250 woken back up as it’s been laid up a while, shouldn’t take long then onto the others

If it makes you feel better I sold my lc2 12000 miles immaculate condition in 2004? For £1500 still regret it. Welcome in 👍
