The plate we made turned out to be too thick, and the side cover wonβt fit on. Ahhh! Looking into other options. I may mount the fuse holder directly to the battery box.

Yeah, thought that might be the case. I think mine will fit if I move fusebox off centre as there is more room toward front of side panel. Maybe I'll have a go tomorrow, will let you know.....Good weather forecast, maybe I'll just ride the bike instead Im pretty sure some of the auto sparks on the forums have done these blade conversions on LCs

I was hoping this would fit well and make it look decent. Probably more fun to ride!

just to finish the thread, its taken me a while to get around to putting a blade fusebox on my 4L0. After extensive searching I could not find a fusebox that would fit under the side panel in the original fusebox place. So bought the slimmest I could find, was less than a fiver and made a small ali bracket to position it to the deepest part of the side panel, only thing is the plastic cover will not fit on under the side panel. (But I dont ride in the wet so not a problem ) Bought an 8 block for the other end so all quite neat and Blade fuses clears side panel by about 2mm π (just noticed on the pic one of my terminal connects looks a bit iffy )

I ended up with a similar mount to the one above. I 3D printed a very thin plate the same size as the original fusebox and bought the Hella 4 blade box and will use without the cover.

I did that too! π€£ππ€£ Well, they arrived yesterday, the fuses are of course a bit long as they're 35mm but as for the crimp on fuse holders, they look like they may well do the job to replace fatigued/broken ones in the original fuse box.

The 2cv fuse clips turned up so I tried them in pattern fuse box Couple of small issues. Firstly the actual clips are physically bigger as in the width where it hold the fuse so is bigger but this doesn't matter Also the crimping section is longer so on the middle 2 clips you would need to trim a little bit off. This won't affect it working Couple of pics to give you an idea Steve

Interesting. Have you been able to fit all 4/8 into the box with the cables?

Interesting. Have you been able to fit all 4/8 into the box with the cables? I haven't tried. I'm sure with a little trimming and manipulation they would go in I was more impressed they actually clip in Up to now I'd been robbing clips/wire out of other fuseboxes and soldering in (as you can see by the fact that the pattern box has a clip/wire missing π) Steve

Just trim the outer sleeve crimp part off the 2cv clips, and add small piece of heat shrink They look a great solution!!
