Hi Steve
Yes not bad
Like I said program needs some tweaks but as it’s only a 10 min print it does not take too long to see the result of an adjustment
Also this sample was the ASA but would like to try making one in PETG too to see if printing in this material is easier for something this fine
Bit different to the clock case that in the end was over 13 hours to make one case😳😳
Best wishes Al

Your printer is paid less per hour than an Indian 8 year old

Great work Al as ever. Super that these are a 10 min print. Thats about 140 you can do in 24 hour period. just need to snooze while it prints and wake when it beeps.

This is quite common with these near 40yo brittle little things... Hopefully Alan can save us all some heartache.

What is the spindle size on a rd350 kidney clock

Most likely 1.0 mm same as earlier LC but haven't checked, and just sorted a couple of those for someone. Just measure the spindle with vernier guage.

I don't think that Alan is making the black centre bit though, just the orange needle part so you will need to retain the bit that fits onto the spindle, so not an issue, unless that is the bit that is broken.

Yes it’s just the needle itself I am trying to print You need the boss as it has the brass tube moulded in and that little brass weight Best wishes Al

Another great piece Al.
You have printed so many items now that it would be good to see a list of all the parts you are able to print perhaps.
Thanks for all your hard work on some difficult items.

Hi Shaun Thank you for taking the time to test them They look good and glad they fitted ok with a bit of good old super glue To all the others have asked for needles I had a thought and I will do 3 needles for a fiver posted (so you have a spare if needed (and as Shaun mentioned they are a slightly different orange to the originals so to remove the odd look you would best to replace both during you clock rebuild) but the catch is I cannot start this print run till most likely next weekend at the earliest as I need to clear some of my back orders like need to first finish tthe RDLC horn covers and also finish off the current list for Koso and standard clock cases that never seems to stop😳 But once these are out the way I will make small batch of about 20 and then add to this thread that they are ready Catch up with you all soon Best wishesAl

Hi Steve Staff is not the issue but time itself as it’s only a hobby and I have a family of 4 plus I am head engineer at one of BD medical device manufacturer plants so all my commitment both family and work really eats up the day Original clock cases take 13 hours each and the Koso case are 10 and other stuff is on average 5-6 per unit so a order for a standard pair of clock case is 26 hours plus a little set up and finish time Got three printers on the go virtually 24:7 so it just take time to get the parts produce But as long as people understand it’s not my full time job and are patient that’s ok Catch up soon Best wishes Al
