Hi,
Probably a new one for this group, but how easy is it to change N1 clocks from MPH to KPH? I live in Norway and don't really need the MPH. Is it just a matter of changing the backing on the clocks? Cheers.

You can just change the face and the speed will be in kph but the distance will be in miles
A swap with someone would be the easiest
Think I have a kmh one but face is probably faded
If you want I'll have a look

As above, I'm sure you would get offers to swap your mph for km set if you posted up an advert. This will mean you don't have to open up the speedo.
If you decide to convert, you can buy facia overlays or replacement facias so that the speed reads correct, but as Steve says that would still mean the odometer and trip is still reading in miles. You can change 2 gears within the clock mechanism to convert these to km's. Its a bit tricky but can be done. I have several spare gears for this as have converted many clocks the other way kms to mph, so if you want a set of km gears FOC, just cover the post, then PM me your address and will get some posted out to you.
Cheers, Shaun.

The clocks in question are N1 clocks grafted onto a LC2 as the bike didn't have the correct LC2 arrangement when I bought the bike and I prefer the look. How dificult is it to change the gears in the clocks?

Im sure you could swap a clock with someone, or sell yours and buy the one you need. The uk hoovers up Mph clocks like mad and prices of mph units are crazy, KMH units are cheap and more plentiful I would think.

Steve midlifecrisis did a thread on converting earlier LC clocks Kms to mph and principle will be same for your clocks. If you do a search you should be able to find it as it's quite useful and will give you an idea what is required.

Hi, I've has a look at the thread about changing the gears and it seems a bit of a hassle. As so many have spare KPH clocks lying around I think this is the best way. If those that have kph clocks send me a PM with an email address and pics of their clocks I can send a picture back of my clocks before they decide. Just to be clear these are N1/F1 clocks.

Can someone confirm that the N1/F1 kph clocks are the same on the N2/F2?
