Just bought something from a seller in Italy and he has requested a fiscal code (because of Brexit he said), anyone know what is required? I know what a codice fiscale is in Italy, you need one to do allsorts like rent or buy property, bit much just to buy parts I'd have thought, any ideas? I can't be the first to be asked for it.

Why is it so bloody difficult to buy from europe??? Bought stuff from usa, asia, china, never had any probs just duty and vat all paid on collection from post office.
I would be wary about paying the seller vat.... are they really going to declare it? or just shaft the buyer for 20%? Maybe hold off till everything is clear...

I see now eBay adds from Europe all say "plus 20%" on them now! I used to buy a lot from Europe but not cheap anymore.

It's most likely the commodity code which is needed for importing/exporting anything now
Had it when sending a parcel to Dublin
Luckily I sent via Interparcel where they now give you a commercial invoice to print off
You tell them from options what you are sending and it gives you the code
Motorcycle parts was one option
