I recently purchased this LC. Was advertised as a 250 but is a 350. Been sat in a cellar for nearly 30 years. Came with 2 250 engines and a few other bits and pieces. I don't know what to do with it yet but possibly stockish with pipes, etc as not fancying a show pony as would like to use it. A mate has a fully rebuilt 350 engine that he will be selling so that would be an ideal drop in to a redone frame. I'll get the bike stripped this week i get the time and get the zinc or pssivated parts dug out and vapourblasted and then off to the local platers who are excellent. The clocks are there but the top and bottom cases are damaged as usual and the speedo is in a million parts as the white housing is trashed. I am after a clock bracket if anyone has one. Have the airbox but need the upper and lower filter housing parts parts. The bike still has the 350 rear wheel in good nick and also 2 pair of 4L0 00 carbs as well in the box, there was even a tool tray in the boxes as well so not all bad! Alasdair

Sounds a bit like me and my situation but I've had the bike since 1987.
Best of luck and hope you enjoy the process.
I've been trying to get a few hours in the garage a couple of nights a week. It's 1 or 2°C in there most nights but I'm sticking with it.
Been stripping brakes, calipers and master cylinder for days now. Every pin, bolt, piston and bleed nipple seized. They've fought me ever inch of the way but all stripped now.
There's a guy on here makes the inner clock cases. 3D prints them.

Managed to get a pair of back mudguards and a couple of battery boxes off a guy for the bike as the battery box is gone and the front mudguard is pretty knackered. Also got qa pair of fottrest brackets as mine have been attacked with a grinder at somepoint.

Not much to report at the moment but bneen buying a few bits. Have a couple of battery box, footrest hangers, mudguards and a few othwer bits coming from Australia. A pal in Germany has a complete set of clocks, rear numberplate holder, good switchgear, coil cover and numerous other small bits and pieces to send over along with a couple of ZXR OEM exhaust I had sent to his gaffe. It will be like Chrimbo when it all turns up. Will get the chassis stripped this week hopefully and the frame and swinger off for coating. Fork tubes will go off for replating and will get any zincing off too. Will pick up the 350 motor when we can travel again.

How do you guys find a bike that’s been sat for 30yrs with spare engines and other parts? I’m not that lucky. Anyway good luck with the build, I will watch with interest. Dave
