OH dear . saw and was involved on this subject on another forum . It does no good . Keep your thoughts to your self go about your every day life smiling behind your mask . I will start taking more interest in it all when the political parasites start having their windows poked in with petrol bombs and they are chased down the street out of town .

This comedian nailed the situation for me just before Xmas, so funny if only all the points he mentioned weren't so bloody true. No doubt some folk still can't see it though.

If you want to blame anyone, blame, the 200 at a wedding reception, 250 at a funeral, the house parties, the illegal raves, the football mass celebration, the pubs opening with a domino party, the demonstrations, the breaking and entering of a church for a rave, the conspiracy theorists who think it's telephone signals.... the list of idiocy goes on and on and on .. but you get the drift. The blame for what is happening is on all the idiots above. What the police should be doing is spraying dye on all of the above, to identify them so that they can become exempt from any hospital treatment.
Even the simplest instruction of distance, mask, wash, is well beyond the intellect of many.... I am utterly unsurprised. Human race?... Nahhh... still apes. (sorry for insulting you my simian friends, you are indeed the more intelligent spices)
It is so easy to blame it on politics, far easier than looking in a mirror.

I don't think that much of what you said there steve h is actually correct, because the majority of the public had the shit scared out of them back in March and did follow the guidance etc,....even Boris said that in his latest speech.

There was a plus for me in the 1st lockdown. A couple of yrs ago I had a knock at the door and "would you buy a piece of lucky heather? We'll take you to the bank if you've no money" Well because of my ethnicity match with said vendor, I bought the heather. And like a bad penny the t**t turns up regular (probably when ro**ing in the locality) and I have difficulty shoeing them away... Well, they turned up at the front door in lockdown!! I opened the door to a "hello how are you?" ... I said "not good, pretty ill" and let out a f**king huge cough!! Then said "You should not be knocking on peoples doors! in lockdown!! it's idiotic!! Especially knocking on the door of someone with the f**king virus"!!! Well... I've never ever seen a f**king heather salesperson move so quickly in my life..

I have witnessed the behaviour of said idiots... It's not someone else's opinion or theory, it is my experience. Wash distance mask. My wife has been and is involved with virus and disease prevention at cobra (COBR)level, and yes some of the floundering at the start did not help...should of been much firmer... But like all politics, they are thinking about their popularity and ratings first, rather than hammer blow policy, which should of been the case. P.S. My wife married well beneath herself.

At the end of the day all these measures/lockdowns just don't work, the proof is in the pudding all these months on, for those who haven't been brain washed, it's far easier to see that this is about population control and pushing in this Great Reset thing,....it's far from a new idea, here's footage from 10 years ago.

Yes agree, it's the population who don't think and ignore the majority of sane people, the ones who don't care, the ones that think they will never get the virus, who ignore distance mask ect rules,, I agree,,, but my point is the way the said government have handled the whole situation,, yes should have been firmer but that would have been on the edge of a dictatorship rule and we don't do that in the UK,,, not enough police and the government will never allow the military to enforce it on uk soil,, bad image for the politicians, the miners strike for example,, different I know but some never forgiven them yet for that moove, but magie quelled that one, at wot cost,, but she didn't care, wouldn't tolerate it, but I think at wot price to you put over people's lives over political image,,, there fukin up big style, and them trying in a panic now to save image over lives is the borris clan crapping there pants coz they took light action to begin with, too little to late mate 75000 people gone,, and it's not stopping. A vicious circle,, borris is a puppet,,

If you’re interested read up on why places like South Korea ( larger population than Uk) have only had 900 deaths, primarily comes down to a sense of social responsibility and everyone understanding they have a part to play. Unfortunately in the Uk we have a set of individuals that believe they have no part to play or that as it’s less likely to effect them sod the rest of you. Until we can overcome the mentality of these selfish few we will struggle, and unfortunately you then have those that we can’t fix the stupid. The government irrespective of flavour always want to retain power and to chase popularity over policy and direction. BoJo is nothing more than a populist who sees himself as a modern day ‘Churchill’ whatever that means, you only need to look at his flim flamming on brexit one day for next day against. It’s all about power and popularity, he doesn’t have the spine to take the right decision hence different tiers in different locations. A flawed approach that he hopes will not reflect too badly on him and his lackeys out of depth doesn’t even come near.
Hopefully we will manage to get through this and hopefully the vaccine will work on all strains, then we can start to understand how lucky we are to inhabit this wonderful world and set about doing something about the climate not for us but for our kids and grandchildren.

I know I shouldn’t do this, however here goes nothing
A few days ago I was made aware of an interesting incident in the UK, a video grab with the transcript of a radio interview to be precise, of a matron in a children’s hospital saying her ward was full of Covid infected children, the interview was on BBC5, a couple of high ranking doctors disputed her claims and the BBC was pilloried by two of the local daily papers, renowned in the past for their previous antics, after it was discovered the matrons’ claims weren’t true
It was my belief after listening to the video that the nurse was telling the truth and it was the doctors who were doing the covering up, after all she was on the frontline in the hospital, the verdict wasn’t what I expected, far from it, and I was informed that in fact it was the matron that made it all up and BBC5 didn’t do their due diligence, I was flabbergasted that the BBC would do this sort of thing
This incident, afaik, was not reported on our news and a search of google at the time turned up little information on it, except for the the two dailys’ report of the incident, there was nothing else, just repeats of the article
I’m thinking that the radio reporter has got it wrong and some sort of cover up has occurred at the BBC, I never thought I’d say it but I’am, I’m not the conspiracy theorist type of person, this sort of thing just makes a bad situation worse
Can anyone confirm or shed some more light on it, has this matron been censured or sacked over her claims or has any explanation come from the BBC to rebuke or sack the radio presenter ?
I think hoodwinking the population by the national broadcaster is not on and only serves to confuse and ignite panic, thank you to the guy that sent me the video, it’s opened up a can of worms as to what people can trust
I see today the BBC news website have run an article similar to the dailys’ saying the nurses view was incorrect, nothing about any rebuke of the matron or it radio host

I take the view that
1 - Chief medical officers' members of the WHO etc. are all telling me this is a very infectious virus. As we know you can't "kill" a virus it's not an infection. You can however minimise it's effects with a vaccine. As with any problem (illness or otherwise) prevention is better than a cure
2 - Some person on the internet with no medical qualifications, and a few well edited clips telling me it's all lies and there is no virus and it's all a big plan to oppress the masses.
I'm not telling anyone which one is or isn't true. Some people only believe what they want to believe as it fits their own agenda. Your choice, make up your own mind.
When I'm out on my bike I consider every other road user a threat and ride accordingly. Sadly I now treat everyone in Tesco the same :-(

The UK lockdown, again here goes nothing, my opinion that’s all, it’s how I see it and my experience in my country of residence as compared to what I read about and see on news casts in other countries, it may not be to everyone’s taste
This post is not aimed at or pointing bones at any individual it’s not meant to be aggressive and I’m not looking for an argument
It’s not a total timeline or day by day it’s told in a nutshell as best I can
South Korea was listed as a country who had 1000 deaths 50 million population , Australia had just over 900 in a population of 25 million and New Zealand had 25 with a population of about 4.8 million
Each of our states has a government figurehead, there are 7 of them all elected by each states citizens from both sides of the political equation and then above that a democratically elected government for all the country, a national cabinet of these 7 figureheads chaired by the prime minister and attended by video conferencing by the CHO’s and other emergency departments, was introduced to discuss the impact of the pandemic on the country and a framework as to how it would be handled
Bearing in mind this was the start of the declaration of a worldwide pandemic by the WHO at the end of March, no one had any idea of what we were dealing with back then, it was some flu like virus that was supposed to have it’s origin in China
The politics was taken out of the equation and strategies were formed allowing each state to manage their own people, however as a whole follow the health advice of the country’s and states CHO’s that was available at the time
It was surprisingly refreshing to not have the constant bickering between two or three different ideologies, states would bicker with other states all the time, that pretty much disappeared overnight, decisions and guidelines and emergency laws were agreed upon very rapidly yet still pretty well thought out, there was a consensus of opinion and bipartisan support probably not seen since WW2 and the country as a whole most likely agreed, we in all were not happy about a lot of regulation, however we listened to the advice given at the time
The plan was quite simple, shut international borders, limit the movement of people, teach good hand sanitation, use social distancing and close any non essential retail, schools remained open as did grocery stores and fuel stations, the wearing of masks was voluntary and it was takeaway only
Following these guidelines was the path taken from years of prior research into viruses around the world such as but not limited to SARS or MERS viruses, Asia to our north had already dealt with SARS and MERS in years before and basically knew what to do already
So our country was locked down, state borders between New South Wales and Victoria were kept open, every other land border was basically closed to anyone not residing in their respective states, fly in fly out workers were stopped, companies started moving that workforce within the state that the mining operations were carried out, trans country freight drivers, military and medical and essential personnel were given the go ahead to cross borders, each and every person in those categories were tested for the virus as they entered each respective state and had to basically self isolate when not in their home state, the mandatory wearing of masks was increased in a lot of areas as and more more cases came to light, in all we have had about 30,000 cases
Yes businesses had to close, people were laid off family gatherings were non existent and it wasn’t pretty, interstate flights were virtually non existent, however many lives were being saved and keeping the politics out of the equation and with the vast majority of the population listening and following the advice passed on by the CHO and state leaders, we as a country drove down the infections and we were alive, sounds dramatic however it is true
Fiscal stimulus was given to businesses to try and keep their staff employed, loss of turnover was the main criteria, the unemployed also received extra payments too
In the beginning most of the other states had about a 6-8 week lockdown that was it, that gave the majority of us the 28 days of community free transmission, most of the country still had travel restrictions and gathering restrictions and slowly businesses were allowed to trade again, unfortunately some would never come backu
Some people were complaining that their rights were being taken off them, the mask and travel restrictions were illegal, however with those rights come responsibilities too, responsibilities to your fellow citizen, by social distancing and wearing a mask when asked, you might not die if you wore one, however you could kill someone else if you didn’t and were asymptomatic and had the virus, in the virus case it’s not against the individual, the individual needs to do what’s right by their community, everyone is in the same position
Unfortunately NSW and Vic states had issues, mainly a cruise ship and bungled hotel quarantine for returning people and Victoria in part had to go into another massive lockdown, their borders hadn’t been closed to each other, state borders that were just starting to see green shoots were slammed closed again to Victoria and sadly the majority of deaths in the country were in Victoria and masks were made mandatory outside or in areas where people gathered such as supermarkets, again all non essential businesses shut down, it wasn’t pretty
Victoria came out of full ockdown about 2 months ago, with conditions such as gatherings and wearing of masks still enforced, unfortunately NSW had the virus escape again in the lead up to Christmas, they are saying an overseas aircrew however there is no proof, suffice to say the genome was from America, no doubt you would have read about the massive lockdown of 250,000 people over just a handful of cases that’s how serious we treat it here that number has now multiplied to about 100 and has spread all over Sydney and made it into Victoria all within a week because people travel and obviously the time of year it was, it’s not higher because of the precautions that were taken were taken early, I don’t believe that a cricket match scheduled for Thursday should have a crowd no matter how small
So Victoria are now into their third lockdown and the majority of NSW their second, so far and fingers crossed it continues, no other state has had a second lockdown, time will tell, unfortunately the state vs state bickering is now starting again over border closures
As a whole I think we are a fairly compliant lot down here, yes we had protests however they seemed pretty minimal to what I see in other parts of the world, we learnt how to work at home, do more video conferencing and generally tried to look after one another and restaurant businesses started cooking meals for hospital staff and in Vic some restaurants were cooking meals for a couple of blocks of flats that were in total lockdown
Where I’am, along with QLD, Tasmania, S Australia and the N Territory, we are pretty free to go any where we like, sadly except to NSW or VIC now, they are not permitted to enter any other state until they have had the 28 days free from community transmission standard, or of course overseas, if we were in those states from 21/12 we had to have a Covid test and isolate for 14 days and have another test on day 11 I have a close friend in that situation right now
We have to sign in to public places like pools and restaurants or pubs, or use a phone to scan a QR code, however we have few limitations on gatherings our sports stadium is allowed a crowd of 30,000, it’s capacity is 60,000
Do I know personally of any person who has had or died of Covid, no I don’t, do I think our health advice and our governments actions have been on the whole wise, yes I do, could things be improved yes of course, there is always room for improvement
Do I feel for those who have died, got sick or lost their job, yes bloody oath I do, it’s at about 1.7 million deaths attributable to Covid worldwide now
Do I agree with the science and the health advice given to us by our leaders and CHO’s, yes I do, where I’am and the country I live in as a whole it has worked, NZ too, they did the same before we did, I really don’t know what S Korea did, I reckon it’s similar to us though, we’ve had a couple of hiccups along the way, but that’s what it’s like with this virus, we learn more everyday, and unfortunately it’s a steep learning curve still
Do I believe in a vaccine, yes I do
Do I think it should be mandatory, no I don’t
Will I take it, we don’t have a roll out until March, I will, particularly if cases start to sky rocket here, we have a bit of breathing space unlike other less fortunate countries in regards to infections, the vaccines haven’t been approved for use here as yet either, I think our government is being cautious and rightly so, that may change given what’s occurring in NSW and Victoria
Do I think more research on the vaccines needs doing, yes I do, unfortunately I think something had to be done and completed quickly that’s causing the consternation’s, are there are alternatives, yes I believe there are, unfortunately the one I know of I believe will only work if you actually have the virus, I was kindly sent a video of a doctor in the US wanting to use the drug, my wife is a pharmacist, she told me it may work, I believe her and it’s dirt cheap compared to a vaccine, as with some drugs there are unwanted side effects, however it’s a solution that needs to be looked at promptly
Your prime minister, he’s called bumbling Boris by the press here so we get it, has he handled the pandemic well, in comparison to us, I have to say no, I believe he opened up the country too soon, to be close to being safe, it’s preferable to have 28 days of no community transmission anywhere before ending a lockdown
Has he confused the issue with constant changes to the way the country is locked down and the tier of lockdown, yes I believe he has
Has the UK health minister bungled, I have to say yes based on what I’ve seen
Should BJ have closed the international borders sooner, yes I believe he should have, you then limit the number of potential infections to the UK’s population only, and have minimal outside influences, the exception being essential persons and freight
Does the UK have a right to be angry and up in arms about its current situation, yes it does
Is violence necessary, no never, it achieves nothing
Do I think that the lifestyle in the UK has a part to play in transmission of the virus, yes I do, it’s an indoor type, people huddle together because of the weather, here ours is in the main is outdoors, I’m not saying all the people in the UK now have to go and live outdoors in a tent
Do I believe there is a conspiracy going on, hidden behind the virus, no I don’t
Are there questions without answers, yes there are, lots of them
Can you have a different opinion to mine, yes of course, do you have a right of reply, of course, do I have a right of reply back yes of course, that’s the purpose of a debate, I pulled out of the last one because it got heated, I’ve PM’ d a few people to say so, they’ve been genuine with their replies, thank you, I’d like this one to not get heated too
I feel for you going into a 6 week lockdown, it’s not nice, I’ve done it as well, it resonates with us all, I have the belief that if the vast majority of the population consider the upside that it’s a chance to eliminate the virus or at least knock it down hard and then gradually isolate even more of the stubborn pockets then the UK has a chance, a chance to pull together and do it right, finally it will get to the situation where the people are in control not the virus
Some of us will disagree on topics, however we all have one thing in common that keeps us here, our love of motorcycles, the rest of the time we all try and live our life as best as we can
Please take care, stay safe and stay well
