Maybe weld half a standard Chinese radiator to a complete Chinese radiator to make it longer?

I think I may have to go to a thicker core, so it will still fit. Standard aftermarket LC rads are 26mm thick. Aftermarket TZ rads are 32mm thick. Looking into 40mm LC rads.

Working on radiator mounts and fairing mounts next. Radiator mounts half done and radiator plus hoses loosely fitted.

Got some new exhausts for my project, to keep it going until I can get some custom TSA ones. These are Windy Shed Classic TZ350 pipes.

Hi Rob are those dedicated TZ race pies? Will they be ok to use on the road?

I am using the radiator and hoses to work out where the fairing should go.

The new pipes are full race TZ pipes with Dyno graphs showing 80hp, so probably not a road friendly pipe.
I needed something to let the build carry on, as Kenny is struggling at the minute, so I got these as they are the cheapest TZ pipes that look ok and were available in a few days.

The engine is now at school and the kids are helping to strip the old one and build the new one.
Crank has been rebuilt by Fahron. Top end is TZ750 cylinder with the liners replaced and tuned by Ron at Fahron. Head has been re-profiled ready to go.
Working on footpeg hangers next.

Forgotten about this build Rob. My tz pipes are interesting on the road. I’m waiting for a space with Dave at the moment. However riding the clutch and getting that power coming in is addictive. Mine is 5500 rpm it starts then 8750 wallop have to be quick shifting I’m revving mine to 9500/10’000. Be interested to see how the kids get on you should post some build pics when you get a chance. Love the fact you’re getting them building another stroker👍

I had them messing with 3 engines at a time. One LC, one YPVS and a TZ :-)

I'm really pleased with my Fahron re-sleeved barrels & re-profiled head! Sounds like the coolest school class ever!

Wood for light weight?
But seriously, is that laser cut ply? To test for peg positioning? Is the plan then to get some laser cut aluminum parts made?

Just 3mm MDF as it is cheap and I can cut it on the laser at school. I just wanted to have an initial idea of angles, size, proportions and positioning.

It has shown up that I need the new exhaust on as the current one is interfering, and the new one may be different.

Test fitted new right exhaust. I am making rear exhaust mounts off the back of the rear engine mounts. The bolts will go under the lower front corner of the footpeg hanger.

Refurbed some cylinder studs and had them plated black. This coating is supposed to be 4 times stronger against corrosion than standard zinc plating. Put them in the new TZ engine casings.
