the first 3 letters are the model number, the middle part is the 'part'. there is no g'tee that a 4L0 is anything like a 248 when in the hand.
Ive said this before but... eg. throttle cables are 26260, a 4Xv is not a 4L0 in any shape or form.

Hi Gord, Ive had a look all over and cant find this part. NLA from Yamaha but it was £12.76 when it was available back in the day. I will keep a look out on eb. They do come up regularly. All the best.

I did check down the shed today, and also cross referenced from fiches, thinking that, maybe, and aircooled drive would work. Alas it wont, and to prove it, I have a spare aircooled drive and an Lc drive which shows the difference; 20201231_152401 by dusty miller, on Flickr Lc on the left, Ac on the right. The only other Rd I can see with the same 4l0 17841 00 part number is the first Pv (Lc2), so you can widen your search to Lc2 as well Dusty
