At least he's one man who's got the balls to speak up nowadays, well done Bernie. 👍

The point he makes about modern slavery is a good angle on it.

White multi billionaire octogenarian says racism doesn’t exist therefore it doesn’t. Black working class multiple F1 champion says it does. Mmmmm yes Bernie you must be right.

He's not right about that but he is right for telling him to shut up/stop being a t**t basically and focus on the driving.

Why? Tell me. So he not right about calling out racism but he is about other things?

He's certainly right about Hamilton spouting his mouth off about things that shows him up in a bad light and that get's up many peoples noses at the end of the day. Sure he's a talentend driver, if he just focused on his job then maybe more people wouldn't think that he's a t**t.

Interesting character is Bernie, from a kid with his arse hanging oot his trousers to multi million/billion air. And never afraid to say what he thinks... Which is refreshing in the "pounce on" culture if your view is different. I think anyone who is prepared to say it as they see it deserves credit.. even if they are bell ends.

So if and when you see social injustice because you’ve fought your way to the top over coming overt and covert racism ( that as a white person with a closed mind to it youll never experience or notice) you shouldn’t rock the boat by calling it out? You should shut up and be grateful for what’s being thrown at you? Just because you don’t see it, just because it’s not your lived experience doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Why should he shut up and ‘respect’ the status quo? Give me one just one real reason he shouldn’t call what he sees and experiences? Not an opinion but a fact.

Shades of the "take a knee" drama over here the past few years. Speaking up and speaking out is the only way to make things happen, and bravo to those in positions of power or in the public eye for doing so whenever they can.

i think it was on Friday i saw a brilliant interview with a really interesting fella i had not heard of on sky F1 channel , Willy T Ribbs is his name , and to hear his thoughts on racism and the like comparing the states to the UK where he came to get his career up and running , his stories of jogging in Hyde park with Mohammed Ali , to having a meeting with Bernie Ecclestone and Don King ,and a F1 test in the early eighties , a very charismatic guy and if you can well worth a watch https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/jnvqx0/sky_sports_uk_willy_t_ribbs_motorsports_black/ not sure if link will work

I have read a full and frank version of Ecclestone's biography. I also have Max Mosely's book. He worked with Ecclestone for years, was a dubious character himself, but he knows Bernie as a snake! The opinion of Ecclestone that I have as a result leads me to regard anything he says with as much respect as I would give to something by Michale Gove, Dominic Cummings and the rest of Boris' gang of professional liars. He has cheated, stolen and finagled his way to the top of GP racing, with every decision that was not forced on him made in the interests of his own finances. I'm for Lewis. He sees a wrong and calls it out. Ecclestone speaks when he sees that there is something in it for him. Always has.

He has the same drive and character as any other of the ones with massive wealth.... they all piss in the same pot. None of them give a hoot about anyone else's predicament, how can they? It's how they got rich in the first place...
I'll respect that cause when all lives matter and not just the ones killed by white cops....

I think the whole black lives matter thing has created a lot more racial tension and division, I don't thing its had a positive outcome at all, its seems to be a thing of two different sides with no middle ground ,probably because of the character and background of George Floyd himself. Read the posts above for example ,globally there's a fight brewing.

Veg mate, why do you keep going on about the racism aspect here? That t**t preaches to folk about many other things, yet does the opposite himself, that's why a lot of people don't like him, that's what I'm on about. Look, I know that you are biased because you seem to love the bloke, that's up to you,.....you may well say I''m also biased because I detest him, you may well be right but that's got nothing to do with the colour of his skin, far from it,....if he were white, I'd still be thinking that he's a sanctimonious prick.

Erm you’ve posted ecclestone banging on about racism and the lack of it in society, you posted it, not me? You then talk about it and when I comment on it and challenge it you then back track but I’m the one you say who has brought it up? What planet are you on? I don’t love him again you’re making some fairly outlandish claims again based on your opinions not on facts. Fact this country is intrinsically racist look at the rise in hate crime whether based on ethnicity, gender or sexuality That is a fact not an opinion not what I think to be true it’s factually correct. Fact Lewis Hamilton has challenged it in F1 fact Bernie disagrees Now I’d rather as I’ve said earlier believe a bloke and his personal experience of facing it than some (opinion) toxic old t**t (opinion) who has never and would never face it. Lewis has a personal forum far better than me to be able to open up the dialogue about it and has done so. The fact that you don’t appear to like him nor what he says is your stuff not mine. The fact that you say he should shut up but don’t then explain why makes me wonder. I haven’t made this about racism you did by posting the (opinion) old t**t (opinion) above. Whether you are prepared to understand that there is injustice in this world or just happy to keep ignoring it is down to you and your conscience. Me when I see it I’ll call it because life is difficult enough as it is without the injustice of bigotry, and I want to know that this place is a better place for my lad and everyone’s kids.

Veg, I did explain why I think that Hamilton should shut up, he preaches to others about the enviorment for example yet look at his own carbon foot print for example.
Interesting that you say that it's a fact that this country is intrinsically racist,....this black copper of 30 years may disagree with that.

Fact this country is intrinsically racist look at the rise in hate crime whether based on ethnicity, gender or sexuality The fact they have recently cancelled unconscious bias training for civil servants, and Liz Truss’ recent outpourings on the Government’s new equality agenda tell us that the Gov has recognised that there is a decent (I mean big enough, not that they are decent) number of people who totally dismiss that there is a problem with racism or bias, and they are specifically targeting their votes.

Wonder who Labour was targeting for the vote regarding antisemitism...
As for bias... Well it should exist. As in the best person should get the job regardless..... And I will never ever disclose my ethnicity to anyone in a hospital carrying a f**king clipboard...told the last one to f**k off. She got a little shirty.... but hit her with the R word....that did the trick. We should all be on the same side as in no one should ever be pushed aside because they are "different". Have we forgot about being shown the way out in pubs and the like??? Just because we are motorcyclists!! Yeah REMEMBER that!!!
Saddly IMO the going ons in the big apple have done harm to the cause, because one persons hero is another persons armed robber. Choose your saints carefully... and comply with the thug with the gun.....

Licking photos? Have we now got view and taste? I've heard of scratch and sniff but not flavoured snaps.... jeez I'm behind the times.
Think I'll market my own brand so I can enjoy the life of a tax dodger.... Ahh... a Mr Corbine one that tastes of turds, and a Boris one that tastes of clusterf**k.... This time next year I'll be in Monaco..... or Peckham.. Reckon a tasteless one would go down very well...Anyone recommend a celeb that fits the bill??

Sports personality was fixed by the buggering boys club in the first place, by the panel of "experts" with the six entrants. Tyson won it, if you count the legal votes he easily won. If you count the illegal votes, they stole the competition from him...

Yup, he sold it. www.essentiallysports.com/what-happened-to-the-lewis-hamilton-private-jet/But who wouldn't want to live somewhere where it's not pissing down every day? Monaco must be a hoot, not my cup of tea but non the less a better place than a damp grey northern dark satanic mills hole...
