Looking forward to this. I assume you have sorted most the other components/sub-assemblies/
Putting them together is the most satisfying bit in my opinion.
Good luck with it, I will be looking on with interest as I'm doing something similar but still working myself through lots of bits.

๐๐ Most of it is using my current bike that Iโve had a long time that needed a lot of jobs doing, things like the forks needed rebuilding Tank was rusty inside and petseal lining had broken up side panels were starting to crack Getting the tank repaired and have spare bodywork luckily in decent condition just needs painting I got another frame on nova a USA import and got it coated in the right colour going to build the bike into that Had all the metal parts powder coated The engine doesnโt need any work as I completely rebuilt it a few years ago and is still good Will replace the reeds though they are carbon ones still ok but donโt want to chance it and have stripped the carbs So lots to do but will post on here regular updates

Engine is in as well very happy with how itโs going ๐ Just realised that I should strip the front and rear brake master cylinders as well and replace the seals etc inside and order caliper pistons , will have to wait though Iโve spent too much already ๐ But have plenty to get on with ๐

Cheers, Mark Thanks Mark was a bit nervous cutting off the broken part of the clocks around the ignition switch in case it cracked but it went ok ๐

Everything has gone well so far but it did struggle a bit with repairing the wiring loom Itโs mostly ok but a couple of the wires were just twisted together and a few joints didnโt look too clever I struggled to solder a couple of the joints as the copper was black I cut it back as much as I could and finally managed to solder it Itโs decent now I did notice new looms available on eBay but pretty expensive

yea the old looms can suffer from corrosion particularly the black negative wires.
Bike is coming along nicely though.

Coming along nicely mainly just bodywork and tank to sort out now Brakes were easier than I expected hardest job was putting on the top fork nuts/caps was a bugger of a job compressing the spring and getting the nut screwed on ๐ณ

Tank back from Hartlepool has been repaired and relined, it was in a bad way but they did a decent job Next job after Christmas is to get the tank and bodywork painted These are the panels Iโve got bought them nearly 20 years ago donโt know what possessed someone to paint them badly in purple ๐ณ but they are in excellent condition

Seem to be progressing well. Once electrics are sorted, and bike running your next big job is the paintwork, that will make a diference. Maybe keep the purple? Lol

Lol Thanks Shaun itโs pretty much sorted now except the bodywork and a few small things yep bodywork is the next big job going to have a go at cutting out the underneath part of a pattern fibreglass bellypan tomorrow going to cut away the area underneath thatโs close to the pipes so that the pipes donโt melt the paint purple paint noooo ๐ณ๐ณ๐๐๐๐

Still keeping busy on the 31K passed the MOT pleased with that means I can send off the form to the DVLA for age related registration, getting there just got to sort out the bodywork next Have got a problem with the ignition though, very weak spark Iโve tested the coil , canโt get a resistance reading on the HT side so itโs probably buggered , Iโve ordered a banshee set of coils and new plugs from Norbo ๐
