It was a Mate LOL
Don't think they see the inflated prices of LC's as living in the real world
He could have had the Buell or Trumpet for 5K LOL

This year i sold both my LC's, 2 x rd350 A/c bikes, 98 Red white R1 and a 86 slabby. No regrets. Gets to the stage when ya cant be bothered anymore with temperamental bikes.
Down to my 74 cb750, 74 kawasaki h1 , my second car the bandit and a couple of mint low mileage busas. nuts and bolts, thats all they are.

OK my Yellow Kenny bike is still engine less but have all the parts Probably needs a rebore ,it's on 0.5. So instead of finishing the bike off would an unfinished project get the value compared to the finished bike ?

I personally think you'll make more as a completed running bike, lots of people might want one compltely restored and running that can't do the work themselves, projects are for people who can do the work but want to pay considerably less IMHO.

Yes I was looking at this but I run my bikes on premix and I think alot of folks want the oil pump and all the gubbins fitted back on
I Don't have the oil pump or throttle cable or the oil tank and sender etc

I had a Bonnie with an arrow pipe as a courtesy bike in London, back in the noughties. It was great fun to dump the clutch at the rev limit and watch it launch from the traffic lights. Didn't wheelie or spin at all Brraaapp!

It's going to be at least a grand less with the engine in bits
And that's on the presumption the bottom end is fresh
Got to be an incentive for the buyer to buy in bits rather than a complete one

I'm in the same boat. Wanting to sell my LC and get a modern bike for long weekend rideouts. In my case looking at '17+ MT09. Got the reg sorted on the LC last week, just waiting on the plate to show up. Sadly, this time of year, I've completely lost motivation and can't be bothered to spend time in the cold garage detailing the bike for sale. Also and really torn on where to list it. As it's a JDM 4U0, seems back to Japan is where it should be headed, just don't know how to get the best exposure in that market.
