Looks a good project. If all the parts are present, that's the biggest hurdle overcome already Enjoy the rebuild ! Dusty

Yes, when you said basket case I expected worse
Probably down to my poor previous choice of donor bikes 🤣

You weren't kidding when you said it was a restoration project, looks like it needs a bit more than just tinkering with! But if you have the time and enjoy it, then why not? Good luck with it

Yeah, thats way better than what i usually start with... most of mine start as a mate finding a frame under someone's house and asking me if i want it... I then have to find the rest. Imagine me doing the rounds every 6 months like some kind of modern day bike related Oliver with my bowl asking for more... hmm... One thing i will say about that approach is that at least bikes get saved that would otherwise have probably been scrapped and I often restore parts that others have passed over multiple times as being too gone for resto, to me its just a bit of effort and its well worth it to not lose any of these bikes from the earth. I wont win any green prizes when they run, but im all about recycling rather than buying new

Looks like a few jobs to be done there But a blob of weld, a spot of paint and a wipe down with a damp cloth....she'll be fine Nice looking project there, give back some care after years of neglect.

Looks a great project to me. The timely and expensive bit can be simply getting the parts, but looks like you have most the key bits. Just work slowly through it, one bit at a time and enjoy it. There will be frustrations and joy on the journey.

There will be frustrations and joy on the journey. I'm really enjoying it, and in no rush. Actually just stripping it down and cleaning parts it looks much better. Lot of work to do though and parts yes. Corrosion mostly where it's been sat for so many years. 50 mini projects now!! 🤣👍

Is that swing arm the same as the one in the earlier photos? Hi, no I purchased another swingarm off fleabay with no corrosion on it, good bushes etc the original cleaned up ok ish, and would probably be useable with blasting and powdercoat, new bushes etc.

you would always replace the bushes wouldnt you? Yes, it was the clean and rust free nature of the swingarm that came up on ebay that tempted me 😀
