have a hybrid with a 31k loom stator and rotor, have no spark with29k-50 CDI, have a 52Y-50 CDI, read the listing and am confused with the wiring changes, red loom to green CDI OK green loom to red CDI OK CDI has black/yellow, do you connect black/white to this? What do you do with Black/Yellow This has been my covid19 project and i want to finish it to get back to my three cylinder powervave project. Anyone any advice on an ignition system for that? Thanks Malcolm PS, anyone fitted one of Norbos F2 looms? any issues?

Black/white is usually the kill switch wiring but from memory the 52y50 cdi does not have
The black/yellow will be the pv controller (again from memory) so should be connected to black/yellow
Personally I'd buy an ignitech from mutts and be done with it
Sell the 52y50 cdi to help fund
F2 loom won't go on an Lc2 as wires different

i like the idea of upgrading at some point but if its not working it wont work with a replacement. i don't want to add to my parts list until i can get it working. That way I can sell CDI with a clear conscience that it works!

I did this on my LC2, The info I thought was in my thread, worth a look in case i listed the wiring. it wasnt hard. OK, IIRC : The black/yel is the tacho feed so not needed to go to the tacho, only to the PV ctrlr. The black white on bike is the kill, thats goes to the red/yel on the CDI. Just use the two wiring diagrams in the haynes and work thru it. you'll see it. I would defo not buy an Iggy or Zeel when you already have this and all you need is some wiring looms made up, its really easy and upgrades you from a well known bad CDI to a good one. This is a conversion I saw done elsewhere. Its not mine so not claiming anything or saying the wiring is right but you can easily check it, I made my own before i saw this I just liked the fact the guy used connectors. Ive also fitted 85 ignition parts and engine to an LC and intergrated the same CDI into the LC with no hassle, just takes time and a methodical mind.

thanks for that will try this weekend. Must try not to kill too many grey cells at the pub tonight!
Update today i have a spark!!!! i tried a second cdi it still sparks, thank you for your help, much appreciated.

I have ignition, choked myself on smoke in the garage yesterday! first start after rebuild with pre mix plus oil pump, it was wonderful, leaking carbs to sort now!!!
