The thing that says 'brazil' to me are the fact its got the wrong kicker (so many of their imports seem to be like that, plus those cut wires scream that the budget was minimal when it was in use) and just look at those grips! Those would only be cool in Thailand or Brazil from what Ive seen online of vids from those countries. Either way, its an interesting build thats for sure. Needs everything, but will be rewarding when done. For the start price of a grand its not only cheap now, but would have been cheap 10 years back at that price. Cant wait to see it come apart and what other 'fixes' you find.

Another thing that makes me think its a proper F1 is that it has the correct rear light bracket. I know plenty on here will think... 'WTF?! how did he know that... and whats the difference... ' Well... The 83 has a hole that has a flat for indicator to locate at 90 degrees to the road, the 85 has different inds, so has a small knobble that the indicator has a small hole to accomodate, as it has this it has a fully round hole. You can see the hole and the knobble in the pic if you zoom. Still don't think it's called an F lol I thought it was just RZ250R like the paintwork but we never got them so who the feck am I lol Yes you are right on the Indy holes, can't see them on my phone My bet is South American RZ250R (51L) hence supposed to have linked carbs Check the bars on this pic π Of course its an F? The UK and EU F1s dont have 'F' on them... Its the design of the bike. Ours were called RZ250R, but its still an F. If we started talking on forums about RZRs people would wonder what we were on about lol. Good pic of the bars, thats a JDM 51L for sure, diff mirrors as well. I'd never noticed they had different mirrors to ours. Interesting it has F2 inds on it as well... Ours was more Euro F1 than JDM RZR lol.I'll get me coat... Veg, agreed... just hoping to help the OP work out what he has so he can get the right parts list.

Bloke my mate got the bike from bought it off eBay last year from a bloke who had a few of them. He was told it was from Brazil hence why i Said Brazil model. As I know nothing about yam ypvs models Iam not going to pretend I understand any differences between models. My intentions are to make a bike out of it again and use it, my first intentions were make a Track bike from it. But I've got others so why. I've a 4dl tzr125 I've grafted a yz250 ypvs motor in that Fahron and myself have modified And Tuned so should be a bit lively π΅ So this is going back on the road π€ some time

Great post Xavier, I looked on your site (even quoted it!) but didnt find that part so didnt find the code. Good thing you check back in here to help us out. Ahha! 51L. So basically this looks to be a JDM spec 51L. Should have linked mikuni carbs like the USA bikes. Linked carbs shown on this page: www.rd350lc.net/pageSPECItech.htmIt will run nicely and as Steve says, be 'lively' Defo build it as a 250. Should have a 51L head as well (top, back left). 51L airbox (marked between carb rubbers).

You're welcome pedheadfred, I would do original white & red paint. Could you do a nice VIN plate (on the steering column) and a better pics of the engine VIN to complete this page of my site ?: rd350lc.net/pageVINplate.htmI can hide one digit of the number if you want thanks Xavier

It's a Box of woodscrew model Actually π Aint bothered about a bit of Jim,ll,fixit that needs to be fixed I will address all of the fantastic repair rough issues as n when required. Was cheap so expected lots of Shite bodges on this project so he long it takes me to do it depends on parts I can get.

Well I removed the light held in with woodscrews in top fairing to see how wonderful or bad it is π΅. Think it's propper knackered real mash up bodge job it weighs a ton aswell. Not even a tidy bodge in either why bother if this is all you can achieve mental no point, propper
