Evening all,
I have acquired a pair of 4L0 01 carbs off a guy who says they came of a YPVS race bike, they are pretty clean with standard jetting apart from having 370 mains and im not sure if the emulsion tube 345-P2 is standard. The question is would they be suitable for a standard F2 with allspeeds and what modifications/jets, asking as i have booked a sesh with Dave on his dyno for a fine tune and the carbs may need more than fettling....maybe, just thinking along the lines of using them as a backup. I have searched on the site and cant find an answer Thanks in advance Andy

You won't have the vac take off for the fuel tap
Ypvs carbs work on a LC, no reason aside from the above LC carbs won't work on a YPVS, jetted correctly for the bike

Think that emulsion is standard
Well on a ypvs anyway
Try 240 main

Are you running the standard airbox with filter fitted, or aftermarket pod filters?

Ooh, yeah, thought standard airbox
If not then leave the 370's in

240 mains would suit a bike with all standard airbox. Not sure on a powervalve, but on an LC, removing the snorkel leans the fuelling so you may need to go up a size or two. Could be different for YPVS snorkel.

Thanks 4lo4ever, a long running issue with the running of my bike is the left cylinder running considerably richer than the right and was counteracted by dropping the needle in the left carb....so having another set of carbs gives me options but ill clean them up and put them back together then ill see what the results are from Daves dyno.
