Hi All, I have just picked up a RD250LC that needs a light restoration, i have had a few RDs in my time from 80lc to RD350N1, i still have a DT50MX, RXS100 and an RS100 which i the actual bike i owed and rode as a teen but it needs a full restoration as it looks like it spent most of its life in the Thames. I also have a R1 2006 and an Xmax 300 (sorry) . i live Heathrow area and get to boxhill and loomies sometimes when the weather permits. Thanks Mark

Hi Mark Welcome to the forum, and Lc ownership. I'm by Heathrow (Ashford), Donkeychomp is in Shepperton, Mouse is in Weybridge, Yamark and CBM not too far away, and Oeb isn't far either. I know some great people for resto work locally if you get stuck Dusty

I know Sunbury fairly well - was a Firefighter at Staines for 31 years, and had to know the neighbouring station grounds, plus I've got a mate that lives opposite Kempton.

Do you know someone local? Cheers Adrian

Hi Adrian, Yea, I do. I have a very good welding guy - done my CafΓ© racer welding and a few bits on the current 400, plus he has done all the welding on Yamarks 700/4. Powdercoating - I've got 2 firms I use - one in Windsor I've been using for years, and Jamie, near Egham who does Powder, Cerakote, vapour blasting etc - ex Motox racer - loves bikes, and does welding as well I'd happily recommend both and can put you in touch/take you there if needed Dusty

I remember the Lillys! From day one on a bike (aged 16) I was in and out of there, sometimes to buy something but mostly to drool. I actually bought a brand new bike from them just a short while before they upped sticks and moved. Brings back a few memories I can tell you!
