I bought this frame and swingarm about two years ago. The only thing that came with it were the 2 side panels - badly cracked - and the rear sub frame that holds the indicators. I guess one of the benefits of COVID is that I have lots of time to work on stuff that I could never get to. The frame came with an ownership that I have already transferred to my name. I'm just sitting here trying to decide what to do with it. IMG_0397 by DRC, on Flickr I always like the look of RWU forks on a LC so it will probably get a set of those. I have a nice set of forks and triples from a 31K so that may be an option, but I'll look through the builds section and see if anything catches my eye. I also have a XS650 front hub so a set of spoked wheels could be in the cards. I already bought a nice new tank from Norbo and have this swingarm that I picked up at a swapmeet a few years ago. I doesn't look like its ever been fitted to a bike and for $300 I thought it was worth a punt. IMG_0398 by DRC, on Flickr IMG_0399 by DRC, on Flickr IMG_0400 by DRC, on Flickr I assumed that it was for an LC and its stamped LC 2/350 on the swingarm pivot but the spacing at the axle is huge. Its about 230 mm so I assume its for another type wheel, but the axle is only 15mm and I think most 17" wheels are bigger... so I'm a bit confused. If anyone can shed any light on it, it would be very much appreciated.

Did any tzr wheels run 15 mm spindles?
Or maybe it is for changing to PV wheels?

Have you got anything else for it or are you literally starting out with just a frame and swingarms?

It came with a set of 4L0 forks but they are badly pitted. They would need to be rechromed or new tubes from Norbo. That's basically it.
I do have a seat and a complete rear muddy I got from a friend but that's it for the chassis. I was hoping to get out to some of the CVMG events this year as the gnerally have a fair amount of RD parts but everything was cancelled.
I have a YPVS bottom end so that will probably end up going in there in there.
You may be right. It may be for a PV wheel, but it still seems very wide as I though the PV arm was something like 210 or 215mm. Maybe thats what those spacers are for and they use the same jig for several wheels. I don't have one to try though

210mm on an f2 swinger. Just been out and measured. It may be for tzr wheel?

2ma ran 15mm spindle in rear. Will be very interested to see this one develop. Specially starting out with what you have. Have you thought about going banshee top end or planning to stick with PV?

Hi Swingarm is the right width for an Rgv rear wheel. But there should be a pin on the inside of the right hand spar to capture the caliper carrier, or a tab for a torque arm if using an earlier rgv wheel. Also, chain side spacer looks too big for Rgv. Don't think it was made for a pv as I don't think they were that wide. Maybe Kr1/s or later Tzr ??

It is most likely pv
The wider arm will be to accommodate the brake caliper carrier
The good news is that it means a 17 inch tzr wheel should go in easily
Or if you are really lucky and find a 3xc r1-z250 rear which has a 3.5 rim

Look at TZR125 4FL or 4HW rear wheels. They are both the same, 3.5 x 17.
Maybe get a 1KT/2MA front end 39mm RWU forks etc.

I think I sorted out the swingarm mystery. Steve was right on. Its for a PV wheel.
I took it over to a friends and he had a 31k wheel and caliper bracket that bolted right in.
I'm not sure I'll use a PV wheel though. I don't really like the earlier ones with the holes on a LC. They seem to look a bit chunky. The later ones look OK but are hard to find here. By the time I buy a set and pay for shipping I may as well just get 17's.

I agree, I would fit a 17" wheel to a swingarm as nice as that. A lot of modern wheels will fit in that - better to get spacers to take up the width, if needed, than not have a wide enough width. Just noticed the caliper carrier pin taped to the spindle ! Dusty
